I'm sure they're all just triple and quadruple checking their stories to make sure they include everything.

this is just going to be another one of those stories that the media will modestly cover after they failed to cover the initial story.

nyt WILL have to mention the departure of van, if only to name his replacment, but pretty much everyone will know the why's and how's of the van jones, without the msm's help. My guess is that 60% of the public will understand most elements of the story, that was simply covered by fox(especially beck), internet, and talk radio.

in the media's omission they are destroying their reputations.
kudos to fox, for supporting the beck...

and beck should win a pulitzer, if they gave one, for TV or radio.(I can't believe I just typed that.)

someone can add something to a rather amazing chain of events, but simply:

1.beck challenges van jones, one of the 32 czars.
2. van jones organization, colorofchange, leads a boycott of beck, with support from msm and libnet.
3. boycott backfires, beck digs in on jones
4. beck, with the help of fox and talk radio, "punch back twice as hard"
5. van jones political future goes bust, after he pushed all his chips on the table

the media covered #2, with only including enough of #1 to form a story, with a selective narrative.

This one is big because it shines a very bad light on what Obama really thinks. If he could hire Van, it's only because they think alike. They're brothers. Once that get's out, Obama's through, let's face it. And by they way, it's getting out. The MSM didn't think that it would happen this fast.

I should include potential #7:
obama let's van jones survive the weekend, or at least up until an actual press conference, where he would have to a)field a question, or b)duck questions which will still bubble up among select elements of the msm.

past monday, and it becomes oboma's politcal chips that start banking jones, while both sides know beck is holding a hand that will produce a "royal flush".

Uncle Peter! Get me the smellin' salts!

a rule of morality, that I would offer the press, to live by...

if the parents(or spouse) of the deceased agreed with decision to publish the pics, I would oppose the idea, but accept the wishes of the soldier's family. in this case 'their outrage, is my outrage'.

I am greatly opposed to the expansion of th conflict in Afghanistan, and strongly advocate returning to the earlier troop deployment levels below 25k. While the picture might help to achieve this draw down, it is a low point of journalism, infinitely beyond their decision not to discuss the 'insane' political beliefs of a presidential appointee, because of both parties(obama and mr jones(they got a thing go on...)) skin color and political leanings.

MSM lost their credibility when Dan the joke Rather did a hatched job on Bush in the finale days leading up to the elections. Then Obama the hopeful comes along and to avoid being call raciest they all fawned over him like a love sick-teenager at the prom. Rating's seem to indicate they have lost the trust of the American viewer. I suspect advertisers may have picked the wrong show to boycott. I suppose if your bosses are staunch supporters of someone, then the news takes a back seat to the truth. Lies by omission are still lies. Curious Americans dragged through the streets naked (Somalia), or hanging burned from a bridge truss (Iraq), or as a fresh KIA are great journalism, but exposing a communist giving council to the President does not even rate a line or mention.

Thank God we've got Byron York, you and others who are willing to put their necks on the line to get the word out about this stuff. It's going to take folks inside the media calling out their fellow "journalists" for their lack of integrity for anything to change on that front. Not that I think even humiliating them and showing them to be the lefty boot lickers they are will make them behave honorably.

But I think it's time for people to stop taking this crap and start dishing it out.

Jones is merely a symptom (along with several other administration radical advisors), Hussein Obama is a disease.

Hussein Obama is the real anti-American Marxist. Hussein Obama needs to be forced to resign or impeached.

"Hussein Obama needs to be forced to resign or impeached."

I didn't want to jump the gun on this, but I think between not knowing what he's talking about in the health care debate (dr's. amputate for profit? are you kidding?) to spending the proverbial drunken sailor, to Eric Holder's law firm representing the Gitmo Detainies that he should be trying to put away for good, from the Walpin case to Acorn, from dropping the case against the black panthers in Philly to calling the cops in Cambridge stupid after admitting that he "didn't have all of the facts", from Scare Force one to Timmy the tax cheat, from ignoring Charley Rangel(who should be asked by the president to step down from the head of the WAMC NOW!) to ect ect ect...

Perhaps it's not to early to say the word impeach?

What you want President Biden? Or President Pelosi as Biden would be declared mentally unfit quite quickly methinks, he is a high functioning moron.

"What you want President Biden? Or President Pelosi as Biden would be declared mentally unfit quite quickly methinks, he is a high functioning moron."

I guess that may have been O's reason for picking Biden in the first place. He looks sane by comparison.

Job security.

President Biden would be awesome for we conservatives. He's an idiot but most importantly, Biden is just a spray-tanned, hair-plugs politician. He has no "mojo" that Hussein Obama does (realistically, had).

Biden would be easy to push around politically but (even) half way decent GOP'ers.

Hussein Obama is a race-based, America hating left-wing laywer. He NEVER has worked a private sector job in HIS LIFE. Van Jones NEVER worked a private sector job in HIS LIFE. Furthermore, Hussein Obama has strong Marxist and Islamic sympathies.

He is unfit to be the US President.

Come on folks, people like Jones are a Feature, not a Bug. How better to show how pathetic, inept, cluless, blind, ignorant, stupid, and braindead the folks in this administration are.I say give us more Joneses, the more the merrier.

Fine but for how long must it go on?

Mark,
Good analysis. I'll add: Beck (and Malkin) has made a number of other points that will stick IF Jones' van gets crushed under the bus.

First, Jones ain't unique in that cluster. He's typical - "a Feature, not a Bug". If Jones goes, damn near all the rest of them are sitting ducks.

Second, Beck has exposed that the organizations behing Jones, Sunstein, Emmanuela nd the others are the authors of much past and pending legislation. In other words, the Democrat Party and it's reps in gov aren't the authors... Which accounts for why NO ONE had read the freakin' bills. The most honest Rep was, sadly enough, Conyers... "Why read the bills when it takes two days and two lawyers?"

Given this fact, I'm screamin' "No More Bills." Nothing. Block it all. I don't want any bill written by the Sierra Club or the Brady Campaign or Color of Change. Hell, I don't even want a bill written by a Republican. Block it all.

Your analysis points to something else: This is also the MSM's problem. They haven't covered this - it has got to cost them market share. Sure sucks to be Sulzberger.
