You might recall this otherwise un-noteworthy McCain adviser Mark McKinnon. He's the one who threatened to quit McCain early on if he attacked Obama. I would have fired him on the spot and had one of the secretaries beat his azz before he left. It's the losers like this we have to throw out of the GOP, not Joe Wilson. The silly sumbitch probably cries at weddings, I bet. Mark McKinnon ... the Republican most likely to make you throw up in your mouth.
Make Joe Wilson pay.
And by pay, I mean beat his sorry ass at the polls and send him to the private sector. That is the only way to change the political discourse in America today. Because as long as louts like Joe Wilson can spout off and call the president a liar and get rewarded with re-election, then louts will continue to spout off. And we will continue to claw our way to the very bottom of the political swamp.

"That is the only way to change the political discourse in America today."
put down the crack pipe, and step away from the keyboard, Mr. McKinnon.
we can fix "political discourse" in the country by removing the only standing nail, this dipsh*t sees?
what a visionary...how could mccain have lost with this man at his side? oh that's right, it was palin's fault.
if we are going to send wilson to the prviate sector, we should try and get this moron a place of honor in politics. He could sit on bob shrums lap.

"Because as long as louts like Joe Wilson can spout off and call the president a liar and get rewarded with re-election..."
So, the reward for accuracy should be what, then?
Another dolt who doesn't remember the previous 8 years.
"Mark McKinnon. He's the one who threatened to quit McCain early on if he attacked Obama."
Is that why McCain phoned in his campaign? Exactly WHO was MM working for again?
Posted by: alanstorm | Friday, September 11, 2009 at 05:45 PM
from the wiki entry-
...left the campaign on May 21, 2008, stating that he preferred not to campaign against Illinois Senator Barack Obama, the presumptive Democratic Party nominee for president "because Obama's election "would send a great message to the country and the world."
let me review my answering machine for world messages:
1. the messiah is on his own in afghanistan.
2. we need another currency because the dollar is no longer a sustainable investment.
seriously, if obama's election sent a message that was well received by the rest of the world, when do we redeem some of that goodwill?
china is laughing at our treasury secretary when he shows his face. This is like suggesting we hire an individual based upon how the look in a short skirt.
the only message that went out is that we have a car with a shiny new paint job, but without an engine. Thankfully, we have people like mckinnon, who reel a landscape portait by us, so that we believe we are going some place. IT might work if you are in the car, but we are the laughing stock of the world for how badly we are managing our economy.

Dear Mark,
Tell ya what I as an American have Joe Wilson's back.
useful idiot market has gone down, perhaps ACORN can find a job
for you sweeping.
Posted by: Barbara | Friday, September 11, 2009 at 05:55 PM
wilson should release a statement:
I promise that I will never let my presense at democratic pep rally occur again. While I would accept censure for my actions, I humbly promise never to sit thru so much crap again. If the gop wants to participate in another natioanlly televised infomercial, for the benefit of pure partisan political gain, it is within their rights to do so.
If another such fraud is foisted upon the country, I would rather be watching it with my constituents, who I have no doubt would express similar disgust at this 'universal bullsh*t', than sit among dullards compelled to clap at a president who is intent upon bankrupting this nation.
****************
Boehner?
"thank you sir, may I have another."

Sorry....off topic.....but the Census Bureau has just broken off all ties to ACORN. Excellent!

This guy is the poster boy for elitist, Vichyite political self-loathing and self-delusion. It's a waste of words I suppose to mention he had nothing to say about the profusion of hate and lies hurled at tea-party activists or the horrid slanders of Sarah Palin traced back to David Axelrod or the Daily Kos's cottage industry of hate not to mention the puerile and discourse-corroding attacks on George Bush over the past eight years.
We need to take on pious, perfidious pri*ks like this. Thanks.

let me guess they dropped all ties to ACORN, and now have gone with establishing ties to "Community Organizations International"(formerly known as ACORN).

"This guy is the poster boy for elitist, Vichyite political self-loathing and self-delusion."
hey...we need this guy's vote. The gap for "self-loathing and self-delusion" between the dems and gop must be a 90-10 split. can't lose this guy, he's a keeper.

Whats with you guys? The republicans are the party of Abraham Lincoln and Teddy Roosevelt. The country is in a bad recession, Medicare and Social Security are broke and most republicans are on one or both including Sarah Palin who will get SS payments for her child, the Taliban are winning in Afghanistan and all you can talk about is Joe wilson' boorish behavior. The republican response to Obama's health care speech looked like some junior high school speech which was marginally better than the State of the Union speech where that idiot from Louisiana wanted to cut volcano watch funds just before the Alaskan volcano blew up. The country is tired of wackos like Sarah Palin, Rush, Savage and the like. If you call yourselves Republicans start offering a different better vision than the Democrats. As a long time conservative all I see is Republicans shouting Kill Medicare, kill Social Security, reduce taxes for the fat cats, spend like crazy when in power and point fingers when the other side spends, ignoring non white concern over economic and social problems, thinking lock them up and throw away the key is a successful crime policy, telling unemployed whites, blacks, and browns to tough it out,all the while waving tax protester signs claiming Obama wasn't born here. That doesn't do anything to change anybodies mind.

If the Democrats proceed to make an issue of Wilson, I suggest he do just like (my memory may be wrong here) Gerry Studds and turn his back on the chamber.
Posted by: BlogDog | Friday, September 11, 2009 at 07:07 PM
We're still in the recession, in part because of this mishapen stimulus package, The Taliban
are still around, in part, because they didn't
take his dialogue with the 'moderate Taliban', just like the endorsement of Ahmadinejad victorious debate. Yes you lock up criminals you improve the situation, you don't criminalize
cops, military, et al

both including Sarah Palin who will get SS payments for her child
mfellion,
In order to get Social Security payments for your child, you must either be on disability, retired and over 62, or make less than around $2K/month.
It's hard to take the rest of what you say seriously when you proclaim facts that are obviously wrong to anyone that knows even a little about the subject.
Posted by: JE | Friday, September 11, 2009 at 08:30 PM
@ mfellion: Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt wouldn't feel at home with your ilk either. You're a liberal. Please go join the Democrat, er, Statist Party. Given a real choice, Americans will vote for a real conservative. They did with Reagan, and you blueblood countryclubber pinhead elitists *hated* Reagan and still do to this day.
Posted by: Peter | Friday, September 11, 2009 at 10:39 PM
That McCain didn't throw his ass out the door was simply another indication that he'd bought completely into the 'Most Exclusive Club In The World' bullshit about the Senate(One is not impolite publicly to another member of the Club, is one?).
And yeah, this kind of moron is an example of how the Stupid Party got that name.
Posted by: Firehand | Friday, September 11, 2009 at 11:17 PM
Memo for Mark McKinnon:
1. Joe Wilson is in a pretty safe GOP seat.
2. Joe Wilson merely verbalized what most conservatives (and not a few Democrats) inherently knew already.
3. Joe Wilson has received a hefty boost in campaign donations because of his outburst.
4. Joe Wilson doesn't give two s***s about what you think.
Posted by: MarkJ | Friday, September 11, 2009 at 11:20 PM
"this kind of moron is an example of how the Stupid Party got that name"
Amen. They need to find a collective spine anda set of cojones instead of playing defense and acting like a bunch of castrated, emasculated girlie men.
This would have been the perfect time for Boehner, Blunt and Ryan (my congresscritter) to tell Rahm Emanuel and Friends that Wilson will apologize to Our Lord and Savior if and only if the American people get apologies from the likes of Bela Pelosi, Dingy Harry and others in Congress and the White House for calling them brownshirts, Nazis, terrorists, racist teabaggers, et al. Until then, He can drop dead.

Just remember, it's guys like Mark McKinnon who run the Republican Party in Washington.
The only problem I have with Joe Wilson's interjection is that he apologized for it. There's nothing wrong with calling bullshit on bullshit.

mfellion,
The very fact that you lump Rush Limbaugh and Michael Savage together makes it plain you are a silly person who has nothing of value, nor even coherence, to say.
Posted by: epobirs | Sunday, September 13, 2009 at 02:20 PM
Hey punk and suka Mark McKinnon, who talks about "hatemongers" on talk radio. Aren't you the little suka who mocked Sarah Palin as a "moose on roller skates" while sucking up to Andrea Mitchell on MSLSD? If you want to debate substance and policy, why don't you quit being a coward and debate Marc Levin on the radio? Or is being MSLSD's favorite Repubic brownnoser and sellout more courageous and profitable?
