I don't believe I've ever seen such a short group of items packed with so much beef via the Washington Post. Maxine Waters and Jackson Jr. under investigation by the ethics committee. Okay, I'm pretending this is all going to amount to anything given the Dems control on the Hill. Holder's DOJ has already stepped in to stop the investigation of Jackson based upon its relationship to the Blago affair. Link
lol Right. Like we're ever going to get straight answers on that whole thing.
The House ethics committee announced that it is investigating Reps. Sam Graves (R-Mo.), Jesse L. Jackson Jr. (D-Ill.) and Maxine Waters (D-Calif.), fresh evidence that the chamber's disciplinary process has been ramped up since the creation last year of an office to vet allegations against lawmakers.
Chris Dodd even makes an appearance in what could prove to be his first professional wrestling bout, though admittedly, it's still a crowded field on the Republican side. But would she take him out with an Irish Whip? Or will it be that Irish cottage we still haven't heard enough about?
World Wresting Entertainment chief executive Linda McMahon entered Connecticut's Republican race for U.S. Senate on Wednesday, adding a celebrity element to a contest that promises to be among the most competitive in the country.
"Washington is out of control, and sadly, Senator Chris Dodd has lost his way and our trust," McMahon said in a statement. "I can't sit by on the sidelines anymore knowing that I have both the experience and the strength to stand up to special interests and bring badly needed change to Washington."
Dodd is among the most vulnerable senators up for reelection in November 2010....

Dan,
This is why I asked Clarice the other night ( she never did respond no idea
if you as featured guests could even see what was typed )
if her and other's call to have FEDS look into ACORN is prudent/productive.
Going forward as this battle is waged, "we" need to champion states rights and power as outlined in Constitution 10th Amend etc.. To me at anyrate it seems a bit wankish to say in one breath the FED gov is too large and yet expect/beseech
them to clean it up.

Can't speak for Clarice, Barb. But I know I didn't see the chatroom. As for the Fed Gov. I agree. But as a whole, we are so far away from that view, who knows. As I said on the show, we shouldn't need corruption to stop what is otherwise unconstituional in the first place. No one gave DC the power to tax and spend on whatever they want. But they do it everyday.

Chrissy Dodd best watch what he says about Linda McMahon. If her husband doesn't whip his ass, her son-in-law absolutely will. :-D

Maxine, call me. Joy

Why pretend. The Ethics Committee isn't going to bother Waters. She has triple mojo.
Party: She is a Democrat in a heavily Democratic House. That alone is enough.
Timing. Rangel and Jackson Jr, both black, are also being investigated. If either is censured Waters walks, they won't censure two blacks. The probable number is zero blacks, the CBC automatically backs them, and the CBC doesn't lose in Democrat politics.
Permanence: No matter what happens she will be re-elected. So the Ethics committee and everyone else knows they must deal with her in the future. And she won't forget who voted for censure. You don't want to cross Maxine.
