The VF blurb, due to hit the stands on Sept 8. Ricky Hollywood - it's all in the name. The lowlife can't keep himself from cashing in.
He was just a teenage hunk who planned to become an electrician. Then his girlfriend got pregnant, and her mother ran for vice president. The rest is tabloid history. Now, for the first time, Levi Johnston opens up about life with the Palins—debunking Sarah’s image as hockey mom and moose hunter extraordinaire. Photographs by Mark Seliger.

Why is he a scumbag? To hear him tell it he's been wronged by this family and prevented from seeing his child. Why is he automatically a lying scumbag?

this guy must have the greatest press agent in the world.

He's trying to cash in on his 15 minutes of fame, which were up a long time ago. Class A turd merchant.
Q: What's the difference between Levi Johnston and a 50-pound bag of manure?
A: The bag.

You mean to hear his handlers tell it, Dean. I know a little bit about the situation up there. He hasn't been deprived of anything. The question for me is, how does he get off buying a new truck and some other expensive items without contributing a dime to suppoort his kid.
Maybe you don't like Palin. But I would expect you to be able to spot a con like this given your time out here.

The twit and his sister (as well as the mother) are the laughing stock of Wasilla.
He may be able to fool folks outside Alaska, but homefolks know better.

How much do you think they get for these type of interviews? Or do they do it for publicity?
He better hope that he cashes in a fair amount of money because "the fake hockey" will have more than enough money to hire a top notch lawyer to milk him dry through child support.

dude, if you need levi to carry your torch, how weak is your arm?
Posted by: mark l. | Tuesday, September 01, 2009 at 01:39 PM
Dean, you're one of the brightest out there. What will "Wood" do after he learns he's just the next Cindy Sheehan? Take a wild guess.
The Left is finished with Cindy - old news, "enough already", all that. Hell, at least in Sheehan's favor is her credibility. Agree or disagree with her, but she's no hypocrite.
But this latest celebrity? What's the point about him? Nothing! It's not about "him", it's about how he may be used to cast negatives on Palin. That's the sum total of his value to the Left. In their eyes, he's just a hick loser too dumb to use a condom, to stupid to read their hypocrisy and understand their fawning condescension.
I don't know - or care - if he's a liar or a scumbag, because quite frankly, I can't be bothered to read what he says. I do know he's vulnerable and sadly naive.
The bigger pattern is more important: What the Left does to the people it uses. When the Left are finished with people, it tends towards tragedy. We have to pray for Cindy Sheehan that she finds peace and maintains her integrity.
For this new flake, we've got to pray that he grows the Hell up, and fast. He's devolving into the Thrilla from Wasilla... not exactly the sort of stuff a happy life is built upon.

"We just watch and laugh."
same here. always wondered how pathetic the gop would have looked if they sought to "embrace" larry sinclair.
now I get to watch the actually do it.
"He was just a teenage hunk who planned to become an electrician."
(he was 'almost' joe the plumber...)
"debunking Sarah’s image as hockey mom and moose hunter extraordinaire"
so the palin boy's didn't play hockey? the scandal. ok, so maybe they did play hockey, but sarah never went. ok, maybe she did go to a few games, but she did it on state time, so she should be investigated?
"moose hunter extraordinaire"
duh...picture with palin and dead moose. that was the 'only' moose she ever shot? infinitely more than me...
I imagine levi celebrating x-mas with the palins. wow...four different hats with antlers on them, and a gift certificate for dick cheney's canned hunting resort. they would probably skimp on the tickets...one way.
pyous, any problem with her trying to get her ex-brother in law fired...or do you want to make the argument that he tasered a kid while he was OFF duty?
i close with the classic carville quote, regarding jennifer flowers(not paula jones)...
"Drag a hundred-dollar bill through a trailer park, you never know what you'll find."

seriously pyous,
you gonna buy levi's nudie mag appearances as well?
you could put your favorite up close photo of his schlong as a screen saver...
it would be an excellent opportunity for you to look in a mirror.
I would offer the caveat:

In the same Vanity Fair issue as Levi Johnston's essay is,
The Clash of Camelots by Sam Kashner
....
A wanted poster with J.F.K.’s face on it was circulated, announcing “this man is Wanted” for—among other things—“turning the sovereignty of the US over to the Communist controlled United Nations” and appointing “anti-Christians … aliens and known Communists” to federal offices. And a full-page advertisement had appeared the day of the assassination in The Dallas Morning News accusing Kennedy of making a secret deal with the Communist Party; when it was shown to the president, he was appalled. He turned to Jacqueline, who was visibly upset, and said, “Oh, you know, we’re heading into nut country today.”
.... (excerpt ended)
Coincidence?

It's hard to imagine Mr. Johnston has anythign newsworthy to say or reveal (think his one-time future mum-in-law let him sit in on strategy sessions?), but he has a Palin connection so that's something.
Imagine if you were Joe the Plumber's plumber! There's got to be somebody out there who fixed the pipes in his house at least once. I want to hear what that guy has to say about the banking crisis!

And we suggest, Pyous, that you read the police reports on what your Obama Party and its legislators actually do in the office.
http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/years/2007/1203072senate1.html
Funny how liberals like Pyous try to smear conservatives for allegedly writing erotic fiction while in the next room the police are arresting their staffers for trolling the Net and setting up sex dates with underage children. Sort of like how they screamed over Mark Foley sending instant messages to pages while fully supporting and endorsing Gerry Studds having sex with them.
Posted by: North Dallas Thirty | Tuesday, September 01, 2009 at 02:55 PM
The cover up is worse than the crime, as they say. Levi is dancing to the liberal tune that even being in the same room with a Palin, let alone loving one, is a crime. Pathetic.

And don't forget what Pyous and his fellow liberals are demanding be taught in classrooms.

It's no surprise that Pyous and his fellow Obama Party members try to cast aspersions onto conservatives; they themselves are hiding rather disgusting secrets about what they want to do and teach to children. Sort of like how Pyous's fellow liberal Jesse Griffin bragged about sexualizing his students.

projection?
"According to Sigmund Freud, projection is a psychological defense mechanism whereby one "projects" one's own undesirable thoughts, motivations, desires, and feelings onto someone else."
think about pyous, you are the one who is projecting.
the palins are the means of obtaining a way of venting your own inadequacies. you are bubbling over like a volcano.
ex.?
I point out that your sexual conquests are contained within your own gene pool, and you go running to the palins( "I am pretty sure I DON'T have 3 sisters and a baby brother and a baby nephew").
that's projection. professional help for thee?
since they death panels have been taken out of the pending health bill, there's really nothing much I could offer to help you.

"Actually, I say more power to her pen!"
Hardly, or you wouldn't be bringing up the topic. The fact that you did demonstrates your hypocrisy in the matter.
And it's interesting that people like PZ refer to those who oppose the sexualization of children as "repressive". Why is that, Pyous? Do you think it normal to brag about sexualizing children, as your friend Jesse Griffin does? Do you, like PZ, support teaching sex to kindergartners?
Posted by: North Dallas Thirty | Tuesday, September 01, 2009 at 03:24 PM
"P.S. The fact that you needed to look up "psychological projection" on the Net says a lot about your ignorance on the subject."
(psychology is one of my three undergrad degrees.)
funny, you offerred the freudian version of arbeiten und lieben,
"that a human being enjoys sex personally and in a way that does not interfere with his or her work" and the defintion I provide for projection is the freudian definition.
seriously pyous, you need a plan...
start raising funds to help levi pay off his child support, and it might buy him another 15 minutes, using photos of him and his 'love'child'.
ps.
take a look at you frequent flier miles on anything related to palin, and explain to me how you don't have a massive fixation. if this is a cry for help, you are in the wrong place.

But, but Vanity Fair is so FAIR and unbiased. I'm sure no one is leading this ignorant youth around by his nose hoping to cash in on his 15-30 minutes of fame or his $15-$30 dollars in the bank from his miniscule celebrity. Right, Rex? Right, Tank?
It's a cold cruel media world out there and Levi will be used up very shortly. And forgotten. Sigh, I feel bad for the kid, kind of, in a way. Probably because I have a son of similar age and I realize just how much boys that age don't know.

an hour later...
"Kristin Maguire writing erotic literature in private is none of my concern, and shouldn't be anybody's concern given we have freedom of speech in America."

"Kristin Maguire writing erotic literature in private is none of my concern, and shouldn't be anybody's concern given we have freedom of speech in America."
Again, more hypocrisy, given that PZ, Pyous, and their fellow liberals threw public tantrums, tried to make matters public, and did everything in their power to attack this person over said alleged literature.
"But, I am certainly 'concerned' about her agenda to ban teaching evolution in public schools."
Evolution as liberals describe it is not science, as is shown by those like PZ Myers and Richard Dawkins who claim that the theory of evolution disproves God and who push evolution as a means of attacking religion.
http://scienceblogs.com/pharyngula/2006/08/put_the_blame_where_it_belongs.php
It is simply bigotry trying to masquerade as a scientific theory, and thus has no place in schools.
Certainly Pyous would believe that students should not be forced to learn concepts that are offensive to their faith, as he and his fellow liberals demand in UN schools.

Evolution IS a scientific theory with lots and lots of evidence. And it certainly does deserve to be taught in schools.
Posted by: WPE | Tuesday, September 01, 2009 at 04:21 PM
LOL.....unfortunately for you, WPE and Pyous, I am very used to the tactics of liberals, and snuck a little Easter egg into my statement for just that reason.
My FULL quote:
"Evolution AS LIBERALS DESCRIBE IT is not science, as is shown by those like PZ Myers and Richard Dawkins who claim that the theory of evolution disproves God and who push evolution as a means of attacking religion.
http://scienceblogs.com/pharyngula/2006/08/put_the_blame_where_it_belongs.php
It is simply bigotry trying to masquerade as a scientific theory, and thus has no place in schools."
If it were a matter of science, there would be no mention of God. But, by commingling the two, PZ and Pyous demonstrate convincingly that their theory of evolution is not scientific by any definition, and is in fact an attempt to push antireligious bigotry by cloaking it as "science".
You are thus both exposed as deliberately trying to misquote me, and thus are quite obviously liars.

Look, I will say this, at least Levi isn't doing gay porn. And it can be said that Kathy Griffin probably got her roll in the hay.
Levi is looking for his fifteen minutes to extend. The guy is being used, big time, and he's dumb enough to think that people really like him for who he is. He should have been in boot camp some time ago; think Parris Island, SC, under the tender loving care of someone like R.Lee Ermey in his Full Metal Jacket best.
The comparisons with Sheehan are apt. There was a picture posted of her in Martha's vineyard this week. There she is at her table. Nobody cares, because the Media's President is in the White House. Cindy Sheehan has become an Unperson to them. Cindy is criticizing their Guy, Obama, so no one is covering her. She doesn't exist anymore for the Left Media. That's the fate that awaits Levi once his usefulness to the left is over with.

"Before I go to bed, I wanted to add this exceptional post to the discussion above"
Of course you did, because it obfuscates the issue.
The hilarity is watching the babbling bigot PZ Myers, who claims that evolution disproves God, suddenly talk about "facts".
The facts are that evolution does not disprove the existence or actions of God. The theory of evolution as scientifically expressed doesn't even talk about God.
However, when ideology-driven bigots like Pyous and PZ Myers try to insist that evolution "disproves" the existence of God, as they do, what they are teaching and demanding be taught in public schools is religion, not science.

Really? Give us some evidence.

""If it were a matter of science, there would be no mention of God." Kinda like Intelligent Design?"
Ah, but you see, WPE, you and yours have made it perfectly acceptable to include discussions of God in science with your assertions that evolution disproves the existence of God.
You can either have one or the other. Exclude God from all discussions of evolution and state that individuals like PZ Myers, Richard Dawkins, yourself, and Pyous are not being scientific when you claim that evolution disproves God....or admit that discussions concerning God can be scientific, which means intelligent design can be scientific.
I myself take a very egalitarian tack, consistent with my education in a private religious school; evolution is an observable scientific fact, God is not, but the presence of one does not disprove or lessen the other.
Posted by: North Dallas Thirty | Tuesday, September 01, 2009 at 05:00 PM
forgetting the argument of the veracity of evolution...
the theory being taught in school that I have a serious problem with is anthropogenic gloabal warming. not even a big whine about the theory, so much as the crappy predictions that are made to and the outlandish implications that are being taught AS FACT.
sympathetic to the the fear of intelligent design being presented and turning weak minds into religious zealots in a day, ;), but this formulaic indoctrination into liberal theology of global is a religion I have a very serious problem with.

"Ah, but you see, WPE, you and yours have made it perfectly acceptable to include discussions of God in science with your assertions that evolution disproves the existence of God."
Ah, but you're the one that brought God into the discussion, not me. I have no idea whether he/she/whatever exists or not. I can imagine a universe in which he exists and evolution does as well.

"...demanding be taught in public schools is religion, not science."
I am glad you are against teaching creationism in public schools.
Your criticism of PZ, Dawkins or other new atheists is misplaced though. They are not claiming to have 'disproved' the existence of GOD. As such, The Flying Spaghetti Monster cannot be 'disproved' either. This is a very much acknowledged fact.
What Evolution does contradict is the Bible's 'literary' interpretation of the creation/Creationism. Those who insist on the said interpretation based on their faith(belief in their version of God) while denying facts based on scientific evidence need to get their heads checked. It seems you do not belong to that category.
