Via Mickey Kaus to this MN Strib article. Wouldn't any investigation want to look more closely at this election to preserve the integrity of the process? I'm certain Obama and the Dems will see to that. Turns out Franken is an actual nut, just as was thought.
But ACORN does have a special place in its heart for at least one prominent Minnesota politician. Last year, it showered praise on Al Franken, endorsing his run for the U.S. Senate. Franken returned the esteem: "I'm thrilled and honored to receive this endorsement," he gushed in a press release. He added that he was "more motivated than ever to work with ACORN."
MK: Franken won by 312 votes. ACORN claimed to have registered 48,000 new Minnesota voters.

I see DEAD PEOPLE.......VOTING.

I agree - even without factoring in the likely ACORN vote fraud there were enough other odd and very questionable items that occurred both in the vote and in the post-vote process that warrant investigation.

There will be no Minnesota investigation into voter registration fraud and election irregularities. Why? The election of the MN Secretary of State Mark Ritchie was an ACORN project. Do you think he would even be tempted to bite the hand that feeds him?

The Left plays to win at any cost - ethics, corruption, accountability be damned.

In the recount, there were also over 20 precincts with more votes cast than registered voters. Frankin got more vote count changes than all other candidates - for all other offices- combined. And that was BEFORE the official recounts began.
Funny business in Minnesota? Nope!

Who says only Ritchie can investigate, AJ? Even if you exclude all the other entities that could investigate, we've found that just a pair of absurdly dressed 20-somethings can bring ACORNs corruption and criminal activities to the light of day. That the _Strib_ is even alluding to the potential problems is something amazing.

Didn't Franken just vote to defund ACORN? Guess you can't expect loyalty from a dope-dealing TV writer...

Actually, it's hard to imagine how ACORN WOULDN'T have been deployed to help the Dear Leader get his supermajority- isn't it?
And Franken reportedly "gushed" in praise of ACORN's endorsement of him... saying how hard he was going to work for them.
Things that make you go "hmmm"...

Apparently some people are having a difficult time understanding what true voter fraud is. The nationwide "scandal" with acorn regarding voter registration is not fraud. Falsified reg. forms do not result in votes. As a matter of fact, by law, Acorn has to report any forms they themselves have identified as fake (which they've been doing). Anyone who has ever worked any kind of registration drive can tell you that fake reg. forms are a dime a dozen.
Now, do Acorn's reg. drives result in more than the fair share of bogus forms? I honestly don't know. If so, they certainly should be pressured to monitor the process better and not just pay people for the # of forms they bring in on a given day.
So, again, just because forms with "Mickey Mouse" have turned up, that person/rodent is NOT going to cast a vote.
Uncover true voter fraud - i.e. votes were actually cast - by Acorn and then we can have the debate. And if this does happen, I'll be right there with you pushing for prosecutions.
Until then, let's refrain from yelling "fire" when there isn't even smoke. It's embarrassing.

Massive Voter Fraud in NY Linked to ACORN
by Mike Roman
The Working Families Party and local Democratic Party Officials are at the center of a massive voter fraud scandal in Troy, NY.
According to the Times Union:
Dozens of forged and fraudulent absentee ballots from people registered to vote on the Working Families Party line were filed in the Sept. 15 primary elections in Troy.
Documents at the county Board of Elections show the fraudulent ballots were handled by or prepared on behalf of various elected officials and leaders and operatives for the Democratic and Working Families parties.
There may be as many as 50 absentee ballots that were forged, according to people close to the case. Countywide, there were 126 absentee ballots applied for on the Working Families Party line.

"Wouldn't any investigation want to look more closely at this election to preserve the integrity of the process?" -- Went through multiple court battles and recounts. Recounts supervised by Republican state officials and declared honest and absolute. Can't get much more scrutiny than that. Getting desperate now aren't you?

"Massive Voter Fraud in NY Linked to ACORN" -- How is this linked to ACORN? Most of the victims of the fraud were members of the Working Families Party and it is believed was carried out by sleazy Democrats. Yeah, sleazy Democrats. Welcome to New York.

Syntax, you need to read the whole article, that's why there is a link to it. WFP is a front for ACorn.

" Falsified reg. forms do not result in votes."
Bullshit. If they don't result in votes, then what's the point of falsifying them?
