Oh, this is so funny. But it's so bad you end up feeling sorry for him. He needed the proverbial government check just to stay in the game.
What a news anchor, what a knowledgeable man. He looks like a whupped puppy dog at the end.

Dan,
I watched this lasnight and was stunned at the simplicity of the "answers".
They give harder ones to the kiddie Jeopardy group.
Shame wolf wasn't playing Charlie Gibson ;).

Once I was on Kurtz's show and they had me wired up - guess wolfie was in another studio. But for about 30 secons I could hear him for some reason. It was funny.
"Hello, hello? Hello, is this thing on?"
But it wasn't so much what he said as the tone of his voice. SOmehow I pictured this guy in some large dark studio where they turned out the lights and left him alone. He has something of a natural whine to his voice.
For all I know he's a great guy, Just a funny impressin was all. Itg makes the video above that much more funny to me.

I wish I had seen it. Wolf may or may not be a dunce, all we really know is that he wasn't ready this time.
In the past celebrities were often rehearsed so these incidents wouldn't occur. It was deceptive but usually harmless and produced smoother shows.
But there was no universal rule. And today there is less concern about image. Or perhaps no concern at all. Wolf may not feel that way this morning.

I think that he did $10,000 better than the average CNN-employee or CNN watcher......

They had to give him 1000$ at the end so he could do final Jeopardy. Andy Richter mopped the floor with this guy.
So, what is Wolf Blitzer? I guess he reads off screen well...
