Seemingly deranged blogger Charles Johnson employs an ugly and deceptive tactic in an effort to smear Stacy McCain again today. I guess without the Freepers who actually discovered the RatherGate forgeries, Crazy Charley just isn't very good. Oh, today Crazy Charley has also discovered that the 9/12 Protest logo is of communist design. Yeah, that's how ugly and nuts he is now.
He would have you believe that a rather despicable item from a vanished blog is originally sourced to Media Bistro. It gets much worse than just this:
FishbowlDC, an Internet Web site of MediaBistro, reported on August 22, 2007, a huge blow-up in the newsroom at The Washington Times involving bad-tempered white supremacist assistant national editor Robert Stacy McCain and fellow editor Victor Morton, an orthodox Catholic – with McCain angrily resigning and slamming his way out of the building through side-doors where he always went every 20 minutes to smoke a cigarette.
There may have been a blow up, but now read the Media Bistro item Charles fails to link. Been there, done that - some jobs are high pressure, some aren't. Charles ought to try and get one just to get out of the house. At this rate they're going to find him behind a pile of old newspapers lying dead in a pile of cat feces one day. Freaking lunatic.
That's what we're hearing this evening, that Washington Times Assistant National Editor Robert Stacy McCain called National Editor Ken Hanner today and declared his intention to resign.
Why? Well, McCain was the person mentioned in our earlier blind item. During a heated moment in the Times newsroom yesterday, McCain's temper rose over what others described as his frustration with having too many jobs to juggle (the same sources also confirm that McCain does, in fact, contribute in myriad ways for the newspaper).
But the assumption was that McCain would return to work on Wednesday and all would be well, but that did not happen. And now we hear that McCain called into Hanner today to confirm his desire to quit. ... there is some speculation tonight that Managing Editor Fran Coombs is prepared to try to sooth McCain's ruffled feathers and try talk him back into the newsroom.

I know exactly the type of job that can make a man lose it like this. I've had one for 6 years now. Plenty of days I've thought about doing exactly as McCain did.

"Oh, today Crazy Charley has also discovered that the 9/12 Protest logo is of communist design."
Strangely, he also insists on attributing that FreedomWorks/912dc.org logo to Glenn Beck, who had nothing to do with organizing the march or merchandising for it. Why? Well, Glenn Beck is a doody head, therefore it's Glenn Beck's fault. Don't like it? BANNED!
He's lost his frakkin mind.

Sorry for what's happening to someone you respect. It's really dreadful.
For whatever reason Charles is fixated on creationists, supposed white supremisists, tea party participants, etc. To read through his comments is like reading Daily Kos or Democratic Underground. He's been on a banning frenzy for months and seems to be giddy in the process. He appears to be paranoid and an elitist egomaniac. I have no idea what happened to him in the last year, but the Little Green Footballs of the past is no resemblance at all to the present LGF.
Having risen to popularity for his anti-jihad-pro-israel views, last week he stated that terrorism isn't the threat it once was. As of a few minutes ago he had nothing posted about today's terror bust in Queens.
Yesterday, he was attacking all of the tea party protesters due to a few signs he determined to be hateful, racist or threatening. He basically damned them all by association to his beliefs of who is behind the tea party movement. (But no guilt by signature for Van Jones!) Believe me, he had to stretch to find any of those threats/racisn/etc.in some of the signs he showed. He also discussed the threat a sign posed that mentioned Honduras. He claimed it was the threat by the protesters wanting a coup in the US. When someone mentioned that the ousting of the President of Honduras was not a coup but a legal removal ordered by the Honduras courts he went off on a tangent about when the military removes you from your home it's a coup, regardless of the country's laws and that their laws were wrong?
I've never seen anything like it. He went from a centrist liberal to a raving moonbat in the matter of a few months and appears to intend to take everyone along with him, truth be damned.
And who are these commenters on his site that appear at all times of the day any day of the week? It seems like any time of the day you drop in to the site they are there ridiculing anyone with the slightest disagreement. It all seems very odd to me. But thankfully there are sites like this one that I trust would never do the moonbat flip like LGF.

I'm starting to see why he got divorced.
Charles is an utter dick. If you negatively rate anything he posts, BOOM! You're banned. He never explains that when you register on his blog.
Not much of a loss. I enjoy his readers' links more than anything he posts, which is mostly sanctimonious venom against Creastionists (of all things) and now critics of the Obama Administration

I'm so tired of Charles Johnson.
Even TONIGHT he banned someone for.... wait for it....
....saying that The Civil War was fought over more than "just slavery"
What the heck?
Charles' mindset is one of paranoia: you MUST check your facebook groups DAILY. IF someone new joins, find out THAT DAY if they are "racist". If not, then YOU are a RACIST!
Sheesh!
Hey charles, IF YOU ARE READING THIS, the biggest problem folks have at your site is the echo chamber -- you allow zero debate. You allow zero discussion. Just a bunch of sycophants in a ever-shriking vaccuum.
Go to HotAir.com. See the battles between moderates, social cons, defense cons, libertarians, atheists, agnostics, evangelicals, Catholics, whites, blacks, latinos, young, old. Watch them love/hate Sarah Palin, or Mitt Romney, or Steele. Watch them fight about birthers ("freaks" vs "they have a point"), creationism, global warming.
YOUR BLOG doesnt do this.
YOUR BLOG has ONE VIEW:
YOURS.
It's sickening.
You used to be a blogging phenom, from the rathergate days up through the lebanon war.
Now? You're just a crazy old man who "bans" and "flounces" anyone that disagrees with you.
Best part is? Much of your readers/commenters agree with ME. But they're too afraid to say it.
Congrats on stalking people in their "UPDINGS" and "DOWNDINGS".
You jumped the shark for me when you DEFENDED TRUTHERS over Glenn Beck. Your idiocy knows no bou--oh wait! quick! someone 'downdinged' a post! Flounce them! Ban them!

Kind of lost interest in LGF when Chuckles Johnson started to obsess about all the creationism stuff a year or more back. Just went over to look at the site today and ...what a train wreck ! The comments sections seem to mostly feature a dozen or so of Johnson's little suck-ups defending everything their Leader says, all heavily laced with smug, self-righteous comments from Johnson himself. It's like watching the last days of a cult...sad stuff. I can't really see why anyone (except Johnson's inner circle who obviously need the company)would bother going there. It's like Daily Kos lite......endless rants against the evil white racists on the right. LGF - RIP.

Johnson has merely reverted to the Democrat he was on 9/10/01.

Again, obfuscate on behalf of your friend Stacy McCain all you please -- but in only scratching the surface, I may repeat:
1) His writing for Taki Magazine (owned by the self-proclaimed anti-semite Taki Theodoracopulos and edited by by the outspoken white nationalist Richard Spencer)
2) His writing the xenophobic VDARE publication
3) His membership of the League of the South (and other associated neo-confederate groups)
...speaks much louder than any words you might choose to defend him.

mph, you keep posting that everywhere you go. Does Chaz pay you by the paste?
1. Taki? Never heard of it. But hey, I have a question. What makes you think that anyone would just take your word for it? No facts, just slams. I think the BBC is anti-semitic, but when I say that I can give links as to why I think they are. (http://www.bbcwatch.com/reports.html) But does that mean that every writer for the BBC IS anti-semitic? Close, but no.
2. VDARE says they have quoted The Other McCain, but he has NEVER written for them at all
http://blog.vdare.com/archives/2009/09/15/the-other-mccain-and-vdarecom/
3. League of the South Core beliefs:
We seek to advance the cultural, social, economic, and political well-being and independence of the Southern people by all honourable means.”
Oh noes!
But really, you and Charles would do better to call them southern supremacists instead of white supremacists.
What were you saying again?
