Black Panthers: Obama Pre-Inauguration Deal?

Bush's DOJ filed charges against the Phila Black Panthers on Jan 7. If there wasn't a Civil Rights violation committed by the Philadelphia chapter of the New Black Panther Party, then why was the organization immediately suspended by the national and disbanded the minute the charges came to light? The election was well over by then. So, this was always going to be an Obama DOJ case.

This is a group infamous for not backing down from a fight. Now, Michelle Malkin, with links and background, brings word of an internal DOJ investigation that's been launched to determine why the charges were dropped when Holder took over. Was a side deal worked out with the national even before Obama was sworn in?

This below doesn't suggest that nothing happened to me. It suggests they were guilty as sin. So why would Holder's DOJ opt to not hold them to account?

The day the complaint was filed, the national New Black Panther Party announced on its Web site that the Philadelphia chapter was "suspended from operations and is not recognized by the New Black Panther Party until further notice."

The voice-mail box was full at the party's national headquarters in New York City. The party did not immediately respond to an e-mail.

A phone number for Minister King Samir Shabazz, who had been head of the Philadelphia chapter, is now in use by someone else, and a Web site for the Philadelphia chapter no longer exists.

This case baffles a lot of us. Why not proceed with the case, they get a slap on the wrist for being overzealous supporters, fined, or a suspended sentence and satisfy or at least pacify everyone involved? It sets an example to those persons pre-disposed to do such a thing anywhere else in the future and the prosecution of them stifles future lamentations and expectations of voter fraud/intimidation charges in black and/or predominantly Democrat communities. Instead by dropping the case they in essence VERIFIED or at least raised more red flags that there is indeed something nefarious going on in and outside urban voting districts. It raises yet another suspicion that the Attorney General of the United States views the laws of our land in terms of "race" first. For a person who appears to be very intelligent, this might have been the dumbest move he could have made, especially after he called Americans "cowards" when dealing with racial issues. I guess he didn't have the guts to prosecute an open and shut case involving Black Panthers.

Holder and the Black Messiah are both steeped in the rhetoric of their leftist side that no black person ever does anything wrong and that investigating, prosecuting, or punishing a black person means you're an Uncle Tom who's self-loathing and ashamed of your race.

North Dallas thirty: Good point. I have an idea for Fox News. They should send a team of reporters to the doorsteps of the "60 Minutes" producers, and reporters and ask why they aren't investigating a plethora of Acorn criminal acts and other corruption associated with Obama. There used to be a joke: "you know you're having a bad day when you get up and see '60 Minutes' on your doorstep." They ought to do that to them. They also should do it for the NY Times reporters. I think that might be the way to at least embarass them about the current situation or put the nail in the coffin and send them off to the unemployment line once and for all.

Dave B, I think that that would be a wonderful idea, and now that were in the post acorn/teenage illegal alien prostitute era, there's a good chance that more in the media will be willing to start talking about who and what these people really are, and what they want for our country.
