Melissa Clouthier is not only a solid conservative blogger and activist, she's a blog friend of mine and this blog. Her blog is MelissaClouthier.com. As busy as she must be with her family and friends, I don't know how she does it, but she does a regular podcast and is a Radio For Conservatives host via the podcast, too.
I believe I hadn't yet gotten much sleep when she asked me on to talk primarily about Jesse Griffin a couple of days ago. And given that she's a friend and Stacy and I felt we needed to push this story, I couldn't say no. I listened to some of the podcast and don't think being tired worked against me too bad. If you want to hear two bloggers talk Jesse Griffin from a blogger and Right-side pundit's point of view, it sounded to me like a worthwhile listen. You can download it, or click for it through the elements below.

Download MP3
Melissa's show can also be found on RFC Radio every Monday and Wednesday night at 10:00 pm Eastern.
To subscribe on iTunes, just click here!
When Melissa isn't on the radio, you can find her at melissaclouthier.com and on Twitter. Her username is MelissaTweets.

"the persistence of a hungry badger" from Say Anything blog.
I kinda like that visual. Feast away Dan!

I just wanted to say "thanks" for helping to get a pervert out of a kindergarten classroom, it appears. Having helped a church set up a system to prevent abuse of children in nurseries, I am all too aware of the fact that not every sicko is going to be found out by a background check.

There you go, Dan -
You've helped 'Bike Bubba' figure it all out.
You stopped a pervert from abusing children.
Must feel good to know that your efforts are appreciated by the experts that work is this field.
Keep up the good work, Hungry Badger.

Much as I enjoy Ms. Clouthier's blog and her fellow Texan's opinions, she sure trades on that doctor title. You might think she was an M.D., qualified to diagnose whatever ails ya.
She is, in fact, a chiropractor, qualified only to manipulate your spine, for whatever temporary relief the manipulation might bring to your back pain. If you'd stand and sit up straight you might achieve the same result on your own.

Assuming you can get it up, Mike - I'm sure any kids you might have will feel real safe knowing how concerned you are about child safety in this regard. Or, do you just diddle them yourself at home to prepare tehm for school just in case?
Posted by: Dan Riehl | Thursday, August 06, 2009 at 12:07 PM
Dan...how effed up in the head are you, really?
Assuming I can 'get it up'?? That's what you have in your verbal arsenal?
Sorry not to oblige, but you'll have to find someone else to play potty mouth with (won't be hard with the circles you travel in).
Ok, wait...let me try....um...ah...Hey, you're a poo poo head!
How was that...No?
Oh, well.
And of course, anyone concerned with child safety can relax now that Detective Dan is on the case.

Also, the twisted sad irony -
you express concern that JG students might somehow find his blog, read his crass comments, and be harmed by that.
THEN...your post that obsene drivel above.
Please tell me you are without kids...for that matter have no contact with kids?
I mean, your name is on the blog...they could come here and read some pretty creepy stuff you write.
Right?

Dan, is there any indication that Gryphen used the school's computer system for some of his blogging activities?

Dan, I hope you have this jerk's IP number.
Ugh, just looking at the spew makes me want to vomit.

It's funny watching Mike2Cents demonstrate the moral relativism of the left.
It also demonstrates the futility of dealing with someone like Mike2Cents who truly has no consistent principles, morality, or values, other than to protect, support, and endorse his fellow liberal Palin haters.
Mike2Cents refuses to admit that what Griffin did was wrong. Mike2Cents insists that Griffin was blameless because he had "bad sources" and that Griffin should be excused for telling continuous lies about Sarah Palin because he's passionate about "taking her down".
Posted by: North Dallas Thirty | Thursday, August 06, 2009 at 12:55 PM
No true.
What JG did was wrong, and not excusable.
I do not endorse Palin haters or Palin hating.
I condemn personal attacksand (esp. DR's personal attacks on me...but hey, it's a hot kitchen).

I propose that Jesse change the name of his blog to "The Perv Griffin Show." Anyone second the motion?
Posted by: thirteen28 | Thursday, August 06, 2009 at 01:09 PM
"What JG did was wrong, and not excusable."
Oh really? Then why did you say that Dan Riehl's actions weren't justified and that this was nothing more than a personal vendetta because Jesse Griffin attacked Sarah Palin?
http://www.riehlworldview.com/carnivorous_conservative/2009/08/jesse-griffin-hell-say-anything.html?cid=6a00d83451c1db69e20120a5248944970c#comment-6a00d83451c1db69e20120a5248944970c
And now, as I posted over in the other thread, your "bad sources" spin has been blown up by the blogger himself, who boasts that he stands by every single word he wrote.

ND30 - see my latest response to you on the other thread.
Best.

Josh,
Am not sure that matters at this point, but agree it was a potential issue for
firing.
I can't see the school board going back in time and suing for wages can you?
Has that ever been done at any "company"?
Posted by: Barbara | Thursday, August 06, 2009 at 01:17 PM
Dan,
What I would like to know is this your normal deep dreamy voice or is it lack of sleep morning voice? at the risk of making you blush it is very sexy.
Posted by: Barbara | Thursday, August 06, 2009 at 01:24 PM
LOL uh, well, I have heard I'd probably be pretty good for aural sex ... not that I would ever actually, um, you know, do such a thing, I mean. :o LMAO
Posted by: Dan Riehl | Thursday, August 06, 2009 at 02:46 PM
Mike lets guys give him aural sex. However, he charges 3 cents for that, as opposed to the 2 cents for other kinds of sex.

Oh, lets see what Dan is blogging about on the Riehl World..... bet there is a whole bunch on the Town Hall meetings.... on healthcare.... on the Sotomayor nomination... on North Korea.......
huh? five days of nothing but one ole' little bitty blogger in Alaska that no one ever heard of before? His crime against humanity? oh, well he posted some stupid, and probably false rumors about Palin. That's it? Oh wait. WAIT DAMN YOU I SAY.... he also had some adult sex talk on his blog... STOP THE FREAKING PRESSES
I am so glad we have Detective Dan on the case. Where would America be without such patriots.

"She is, in fact, a chiropractor, qualified only to manipulate your spine, for whatever temporary relief the manipulation might bring to your back pain."
I suffered debilitating back pain for 2 years of my life. Three doctors recommended surgery. Their temp fix involved valium, muscle relaxants and/or painkillers.
Went to a chiropractor, who helped 'provide temporary relief', pushed a regimen of high dosages of ibuprofen, and helped me get to a point where I could ride a stationary bike. After a month, I could sleep and wake up without pain.
after six months, I had completely recovered. The fear of the pain took years to subside. It still is the harpy that drives me to work out.
does this mean we don't need doctors treating back and muscle damage? no. as the chiropractor told me from the get go, I might respond, I might not. Not one of the three doctors did anything to get me to a point where I could help myself, while the chiropractor almost exclusively focused on that course or treatment.
I told the "doctor" that he had saved my life, the life I had before backpain. Did he take credit? He chose to compliment my effort in rehabilitation, rather than accept the praise I gave him. Did he recommend weekly tx until the end of time? nope. He accepted what he saw and I haven't been to him in 8 years.
I still see him around town and always offer a broad smile and a heartfelt thanks.

I see the "liberals" are getting a little uncomfortable with the Griffin story. It must be "time to move on", investigate all the "other stories"......
Posted by: Ad rem | Thursday, August 06, 2009 at 03:32 PM
Mark, I had a very similar situation with a chiropractor.

En guerre, l'art ne consiste pas à frapper fort, ni à frapper souvent, mais à frapper juste.
Dan, you and Stacy have demonstrated superb generalship in this matter. Thank you!
The matter is of gravest national security importance and your picking it for focus demonstrates your grasp of what is "juste" and deserves "la force de frappe."
Your and Stacy's work in this matter recalls Hannibal at Cannae, Morgan at Cowpens, MacArthur at Inchon.
Again, thank you!
