How long before the Left strips out the detail of both Clinton and Gore having spoken there, so they can denounce Sarah Palin as embarking on a global chase for the bucks? 5 ... 4... 3 ...
HONG KONG — Former U.S. vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, once questioned about her lack of foreign policy experience, will make her first trip to Asia in September.
The former Alaska governor will visit Hong Kong to address the CLSA Investors Forum, a well-known annual conference of global investment managers, the host announced Monday.
Bill Clinton, Al Gore and Alan Greenspan have spoken at the event, hosted by brokerage and investment group CLSA Asia-Pacific Markets.
"Our keynote speakers are notable luminaries who often address topics that go beyond traditional finance such as geopolitics," company spokeswoman Simone Wheeler said in a statement.
"We just felt it would be a fabulous opportunity for CLSA clients to hear from Mrs. Palin," Wheeler said, adding that CLSA approached Palin with the offer.
She said the conference aimed to present investors "a diversity of views that potentially influence decision-makers who help shape the markets."
The Sept. 23 address will mark Palin's first commercial speaking engagement, according to CLSA. Her speaking fees were not disclosed.
It will be closed to the media, and the topic has not yet been confirmed.

"We just felt it would be a fabulous opportunity for CLSA clients to hear from Mrs. Palin,"...I could not agree more. I hope it will be a fabulously capitalistic opportunity for the Palin family, too.

Bet she'll have more cash for the run than most of the GOP's favorite sons. Also bet Foreign Policy is on her nightstand.

Is the media making things up again? After all they said Reagan Library, then it was Ankorage AK.Perhaps she is really going to be speaking to astronauts at the space station.I will wait untill confrimation is given at her facebook page.Or on TV from her spokesperson Meg Stappleton first. Its not like the media has never been guilty of fabrications, half truths, distortions, personal attacks or attacks directed at her children ever before now have they? These media people should wait untill they hear it from her,or at her facebook page,or her spokesperson first.I give the media these days about as much credibility as a thief guarding a jewlery store,on the night shift.

china is a great venue...
the speech she should give, especially since no western media gets in?
make fun of the US borrowing money from the chinese. the laughs that geithner drew when he suggested something to the effect that our currency was stable, made the econ students laugh. correctly so, to boot.
praise them for their commitment to nuclear power and their dramatic shift in policy to capitalism and their investment in industry. harp on the fact that as the industry flourishes, the country will also rise.
might not be well recieved here, but there are a lot of things that the chinese are getting right, and they'd love to hear, an american say it, even if it is thru a translator.
(bonus? chinese love american eye candy)

Since it is closed to the media maybe she can take to opportunity to trash Al Whore's global warming BS.
I long for the day that he gets stuck someplace in a blizzard and freezes to death. Scum bag liar.
