Yes, Joe Lieberman has his liberal streak. But when he's right, he's right. That's the case on two counts today.
Leiberman Gets It Right-- Senator Joe Leiberman wants to put the brakes on Obamacare.
As for Alec Baldwin, can anyone really afford to look like Ned Lamont, Jr?? Lieberman says, "Make my day"! heh!

Baldwin. Yeah, ain't he from Long Island?

Heavens to Betsy! Why, suddenly, so many members of Congress and Senate are speaking out against HR 3200! Golly! Maybe they aren't such a bad bunch! I'll sure vote for them in 2010!
Like Hell.
Anyone here think this is anything but a last ditch effort to save their jobs? Yeah, me either. I will happily allow them to leave with dignity, finally doing something right for the country, even if they do so for completely selfish reasons.

"Yes, Joe Lieberman has his liberal streak."
Yeah - It's that section between his hair-line and his big toe. I hardly ever, ever agree with his policies. Still though, one of the few members of Congress on my "trust what this ones says" list.

I never got the Lieberman fasination. Typical of the right to give way too much credit to a lib pol who happens to get the right answer 1 in 10.
Lieberman likes to hitch up his trackless caboose just to go where it takes him -- always nowhere. He's a nowhere man and OK with that. He knows he is not a leader and knows he has absolutely nothing of value to offer. So far, that strategy has worked well enough for him and so many others in Washington.

“I respect Alec Baldwin as an actor and as a comedian,” added Lieberman.
i didn't know he did comedy.
although the phone message he left his daughter was pretty funny.
"I'm tired of playing this game with you. I'm leaving this message with you to tell you you have insulted me for the last time. You have insulted me. You don't have the brains or the decency as a human being. I don't give a damn that you're 12 years old, or 11 years old, or that you're a child, or that your mother is a thoughtless pain in the ass who doesn't care about what you do as far as I'm concerned. You have humiliated me for the last time with this phone."
love that line...
"You have humiliated me for the last time with this phone."

After what Democrats did to Sen Liebermann in the last election one would think Sen Lieberman would be reminded of Dr Martin Luther King, Jr. response to 'moderate' Americans after Democrats beat, arrested then threw Dr King, Jr. (Republican) into jail following his Birmingham march.
http://www.africa.upenn.edu/Articles_Gen/Letter_Birmingham.html
PS: I can relate to Dr King, Jr when he questioned the Church; how can America's religious institutions, their leaders and worshipers support Statists ie those who oppress Liberty?
That said; when are Moderate Democrats going to face the long and uncivil history of racism in the Democrat Party?

Most of the Southern Racists moved to nthe Republicans party when LBJ push Civil Rights legislation through and Nixon launched the Southern Strategy. But it was nice of Republicans to apologize for that Southern Strategy.

Kevin Johnson @The Black Sphere.net has provided interesting history lessons for those who don't know the history of racism in the Democrat Party:
This one is about Supreme Court Justice Hugo Black:

Then there is Truman and FDR.
Plus, Kevin's book "The BIG Black Lie" is a fascinating read.

You want to show how Hug Black was a racist by citing some of Supreme Court rulings?
Truman's the guy that integrated the armed forces.

The line he should have used: "Alec Baldwin? Isn't he the head of the Film Actors Guild?"

Correction *Kevin Jackson* my apology.

Nisher
You forgot to include LBJ, he's the Democrat president who cemented the Democrat Slave Plantation when he built his Great Society.

Hugo Black voted for Brown Vs Board of Education. If there's any one Supreme Court act you can point to that ended segregation, that would be it. But in Syn's world, that's apparently a sign of racism.
As for LBJ being a racist, that's laughable. Johnson helped pass laws that basically outlawed segregation. Read about the Civil Rights Act of '64. That's one of his signature bills. If you want to call that the work of a racist, you really are clueless.
He nominated Thurgood Marshall, the first black confirmed to the Supreme Court. Thurgood was the pre-eminent Civil Rights attorney of his day. Strange act for a raicst putting he %1 civil rights attorney in one of the most powerful positions possible.
And he accurately predicted his fight for civil rights would cost the Democrats the South in coming elections.
You want real racism? It's called the Southern Strategy and it was the work of republicans.
