Politico claims that Kennedy's legacy shapes Obama's path. It's a nice headline given Kennedy's recent demise but is it accurate? I suspect it's more the other way around. Presidents leave far more visible footprints on American history than any Senator ever will. Obama was, after all, Kennedy's parting gift to America in a very real sense.
I believe Kennedy was the first truly major Democrat to come out for Obama over Hillary and I suspect the Hillary camp was choked up at the time, too - albeit in a much different way.
Through two years of wearying campaigning, defeats and victories, the cool, disciplined Sen. Barack Obama rarely was overcome by emotion. Once was on the eve of the election, when his grandmother died.
The other time, a close aide recalled, was when Sen. Ted Kennedy endorsed him.
Yes, Ted Kennedy, the liberal gift that keeps on giving. What that ultimately means for both Kennedy and Obama remains to be seen over the next four years. For now, at least, the gift isn't looking as new and shiny as it may have once seemed.
Was Obama Kennedy's final political victory, or his one last mistake? Time will tell. But whatever the case may be, the far more experienced Kennedy won't be there to guide the result.

Did Teddy ever go to an insane nutbag church run by a flamboyant racist in Liberace robes?
Doubt it.

Liberace robes. That's funny.

"Kennedy's Legacy Is In Obama's Hands"
I can think of nothing more perfect or deserving for Ted Kennedy.
After all, Obama is the triumph of ideology over sense and skin color over content of character, and that in a nutshell is the Kennedy liberal legacy.

The Dear Leader's pending political implosion -along with deep damage done to this country by 2012- will extinguish the last glimmer of the Kennedy legacy, as Ted was a major enabler of this ill-advised ascension. Time hasn't been so kind to mediocre manager/strategist/serial-womanizer JFK either, and Teddy's "gift" of this far-worse-and-at-least-as-naive Bolshevik thug will extinguish most of the residual Kennedy magic, IMO.
Like Obama, JFK had affected a serious tone in 1960, to counter for his age and limited experience. Soon after victory over Nixon however, the press and country simply went ga-ga over the charming, stylish, and articulate young president… it appeared to many to be the dawn of a great new era.
Despite his popularity and seemingly-impressive cabinet, Kennedy promptly stumbled into the Cuban Bay-of-Pigs debacle, in which he was comprehensively outwitted and humiliated by Fidel Castro.
JFK was again tested soon thereafter by the Soviet Union’s aggressive nuclear brinkmanship on that very same island, just 90 miles from our shores… which brought the world to the precipice of WWIII.
Expect a sequel soon: "Yes We Can" invade Ukraine- so what are you going to do about it, Barack?

And so yet another Kennedy goes to account for his life before Almighty God.

US Senator’s complicity, Teddy, with Soviet Communists to advance his own political aspirations -- treason?
Is it more treasonous when you factor in his NAZI sympathizer family tree?

Do totalitarian paradises look the same through eyes of power?
Obama's new friends are already approved by Kennedy, no?
-- Gov. Bill Richardson (D-NM), and failed Commerce Secretary, gets the back scratching news that A.G. Eric "Nation of Cowards" Holder drops all federal corruption charges against him while in Cuba:

-- Allowing terrorist Libya dictator Moammar Gadhafi into the U.S. for the first time.
-- No U.S. request for released Lockerbie bomber.
-- Releasing Gitmo terrorists.
-- Dropped Black Panther voter intimidation charges.
-- etc., blah, blah, Honduras, blah, blah,...
Could any of that have happened without Obama in office?
-- Importing whole muslim community refugees into US cities.
-- More FBI and unindicted co-conspirator or CAIR cooperation.
-- etc., blah, blah, open borders, blah, blah,...
Could any of that have happened without Ted Kennedy's legacy?
Could "Agent 202" have been possible without Ted Kennedy's legacy? Our State Department has learned well from Gwendolyn and Kendall "Agent 202" Myers, those average vocal BushHitlerCheney Washington D.C. typical white people next door both charged with spying for communist Cuba for nearly 30 years since recruited during the Carter administration. I'm looking forward to their KGB handler being named. Yeah! We are being destroyed from within.
In order to make him the lion, the left had to lionize the moonbats too. They had to admit everyone when they have no morals or principles to hold, and found gold. Then they crowned Cindy Sheehan and her traveling anti-America circus. Ted Kennedy is so far removed from JFK's DNC platform. Take a look in Denver where the last DNC was held. The transgender DNC volunteer window hammer anarchist thinks green. How quick the Chicago funding arm was to post of her plight for recruits. I do recall a very Weather Underground like group burning down a Colorado ski lodge that would make Bill Ayers, in Chicago too, proud. Have you forgotten about the plot to bomb the RNC in St. Paul? Teddy Kennedy made Discover the Networks an exercise in name that communist and don't look at the [fill in the blank] behind the curtain. Barack Hussein Obama II is the DNC's Emerald City. Ted Kennedy's legacy is Sarah Palin's firebombed church.
