While again cautioning people to not rush to judgment, a sign of good judgment and journalism the Left has never extended to former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, let alone any conservative or Republican pol, there are some facts about liberal activist blogger Jesse Griffin now on record that may need further exploring. For the latest in a straight news, just the facts manner, see a new item by story team blogger, Stacy McCain.
The rumor mongering the Left engages in to score political points has come back to bite Griffin on a portion of his anatomy he sometimes reserves for explicit sexual commentary on his political blog. I wonder how he's feeling about that concept just now. Via an email from Eddie Burke of Alaska's KBYR, Griffin has threatened Eddie with a lawsuit soon after a broadcast in which I took part (listen to that complete segment here via YouTube).
Given that Jesse Griffin doesn't seem to understand journalism any more than he does truth, facts or fairness, I told Eddie to tell Griffin to type the suit up on his blog, allowing Eddie to pick up printing costs, as Griffin's out of a job.
As an aside, I'd like to briefly remind readers of my recent Henry Louis Gates charity investigation that didn't get picked up by the media, though it should have. Don't think that blogging can't make a difference in our political fights. Hopefully Republicans will figure that out, soon.
As for Jesse Griffin this story is not over. It'll be interesting to watch how it plays out. The Alaska School District has some questions to answer. Keep any pressure on respectfully but let's make them step up.
I'd be surprised if there aren't new developments in this story soon. So, please stay tuned.
Last, I'd especially like to thank some readers for their kind support, a few even hitting the Tip Jar up on the right. It isn't as if we have the money losing New York Times covering any costs. How much is a long distance call to Alaska, anyway?? ha I imagine I will soon find out. But when you're calling a government bureaucracy, it isn't like you can expect to get anything done with one call.
And now they want to take over health care? Give me a break, just don't make it a bone. I cover health care and insurance costs with my money, as many independent business people do. But I don't complain and certainly don't want the government forcing me to do it the way they decide. Do you?
Read some more on the important health care debate via blogs by clicking here and also to see just what we're up against in fighting back against the statist machine in the WH right now.
Update: And if you want another story with a lighter tone than the troubling Griffin affair, see blog buddy Dan at GP for the latest stupidity from Barbara Boxer. The woman is walking proof that many liberals are born without a functioning brain.

Dan, thank you for your work. A good example for others as you say. I have tipped the jar, hope others can see that this takes time and effort (as well as skill). Thanks again, keep us informed of progress please.

Many thanks, Dante. As to possible updates, I will cover them, absolutely. This must be seen through. And thanks, again.

Just a note of thanks for all your hard work-well done. You are 100% correct, the right has to learn not to let leftie slurs pass uncommented on otherwise they will control the message.I think what you have done is a watermark in this respect and we will see a strong response all across the blogosphere from the right.
Again,well done

"Don't think that blogging can't make a difference in our political fights. Hopefully Republicans will figure that out, soon."
This should be brought to the attention of the Republican Party and stressed. If our party is to make a difference and a strong opposition to what is now going on with the current administration, it needs to understand and effectively use the new News and Opinion outlets of the Internet -- as you, yourself, are doing.

Thanks for all your hard work on this, Dan - it's amazingly cathartic to finally see one of these liberal, idiotic &%$#*#s not get away with it. I can only hope this is the start of a trend, of conservatives standing up for themselves and one another. So thanks again, tipped you a bit, sorry it can't be more right now.

Readers, I just made a donation via Dan Riehl's PayPal button (and RS McCain's, too). I encourage others to do the same....even if you can only give a buck or two. Give what you can.
I wonder if it is true that Griffin has a $330,000 home as RS McCain reported. I wonder if, and if so *how*, he is making payments on it. I wonder how many assistant kindergarten teachers live in homes that expensive.
I'm remembering back to the Obama campaign and how it seemed at the time that people with lots of money were able to filter it in, in small amounts (using multiple donors/accounts?) to the campaign. Was that ever fully investigated?
I wonder about these things a lot.
Again, I encourage Dan's readers to hit the tip jar.

Dan,
I've followed this from the beginning. My compliments, sir. I'm impressed.
I just wrote an article about you and Stacy McCain over at Say Anything. Click over and check it out.

Not like I give a flying ---- who won, since this exit plan was already planned. Good luck to Obama! He will be successful. The liberal media LOVES him. Amerika has chosen The Black Man. Good! In light of this I got ideas outside of Obama's plans for the economy and such. Here it is: Every black man should get a young white girl.... Kinda a reverse indentured servitude thing. Long ago, many a older white male landowner had a young Negro wench girl for his desires. Bout' time tables are turned on that ----. ... LOL. More so than they dig the white dudes! Every daddy know when he sends his little girl to college, she be ... real good. I saw it. "Not my little girl", daddy says! (Yeah right!!) Black dudes have thier choice of best white ----. You should do a follow up on Eddie's suspension for instigating people to call and harass the organizers of a political rally last year.
Or how about the Cherise Millett incident ?
I dare you to google her's and Eddie's names.....
Do it and you'll see just what a putz Eddie Burke is.
Years ago when Native Alaskans were targeted by kids with paintball guns, Eddie Burke stood up at a public meeting on the subject and joked about how he and his friends used to beat up drunken Natives.
A real nice guy that you've aligned yourself with, good luck with that.
Now crawl back under the rock that you came out from.

Well, that beehive looks more like mildew stains and sour grapes, than honey. It just amazes me how these pathetic liberals rush to embrace a dirty-mouthed and dirty-minded 49 yr old muscle head hung up on kindergarten children in whatever way - yet, a radio host and I are the bad guys here. Moral equivalency much? I guess as with everything socialist, equality is king, even for filth. I think I like the smell better on this side of the political divide you mildewed hag.
And thanks Lee - fun piece you wrote, linked at top.

Dan, keep this up and you and RSM will get your own show. There is nothing more exciting to read than live blogging which covers the efforts of investigative journalism. This story was like reading a book; I could not wait until the next hour knowing that Jesse is the type of character that just keeps stepping in it because of his overinflated ego and pride. Please expose another hypocrite (one on the right would be great). There are so many people out there waiting for Proverbs 16:18 to come knocking on their doors. Great job and thank you!!!! (hitting the tip jar)

Lisa Graas:
Good point. At one of the 'progressive" Alaska Blogs they boast that many have filed complaints against Palin with the IRS.
Palin is their bread and butter, I wonder if their accounting is stringent. Currently some are collecting donations for trips to the mainland to participate in what they say is a costly scholarship round held by the political action web site, Democracy for America.
Posted by: Dantes | Thursday, August 06, 2009 at 10:15 AM
Whatever, Mrs. Beehive Mildewstains, but it is evident Mr Griffin is a pathological liar, a poor role model for kids, and likely has some serious psychological problems.
Even his own fellow Alaskan bloggers seem taken aback after the cyber mask slipped.
So, shame on you.
Posted by: Dantes | Thursday, August 06, 2009 at 10:21 AM
Did anyone else see that yesterday that Alaska AG release a report that recommends changing the rules regarding citizens filing ethics complaints so that public officials that are exonerated will be reimbursed for their legal expenses and that frivoulous/abusive complaints will be punished.
That reads to me like Sarah Palin has just been vindicated, of course this wasn't reported by MSM, though.

> Whatever, Mrs. Beehive Mildewstains, but it is evident Mr Griffin is a pathological liar, a poor role model for kids, and likely has some serious psychological problems.
Whoops. It appears you just made an anonymous unsubstantiated claim about someone.
We'll be waiting for Dan to do a week-long investigation into you, uncovering your name, personal contact details, place of work and then proceed to have his flying monkeys ring your place of work demanding you are fired or at the very least killed.
You guys are completely nuts.
Posted by: Pete | Thursday, August 06, 2009 at 11:05 AM
Pete apparently fails to grasp the definition of 'unsubstantiated.' Well, either that or he hasn't been paying attention.
Given that Griffin's numerous lies have been exposed, serial lying being textbook definition of poor role model, and possible evidence of serious psychological problems. Then there is the overarching Palin obsession, and the vile, hateful, graphic content of his website, all of which clearly suggest psychopathology.
Unless Pete somehow thinks Griffin's behavior qualifies as normal...
But that's ok Pete, you keep living in whatever fantasy world makes you happy.

"You should do a follow up on Eddie's suspension for instigating people to call and harass the organizers of a political rally last year."
Sure, like your Barack Obama Party does?
"Let's have the media name names, publish photographs, and do interviews of those responsible for approving, even organizing these techniues. And let's find an investigative journalist - are there many left - to prove these so-called grassroots shouters are, or are not, being paid."

What do you have to say about that, Beehive? Why should there be more comment on Eddie Burke doing something which you and your Barack Obama Party fully support and endorse doing?
