The thinking at the Rhetorican is that Palin will indeed go after someone on defamation charges. Not sure I agree.
Some people are blogging about that letter from Palin’s attorney being “odd”, or “pointless”. Ask your neighborhood law professor: there’s nothing even close to “wacky” about it.

Threat of a lawsuit is sometimes just as meaningful as an actual lawsuit. It will be interesting to see if this has a "chilling" effect.

My bet if a lawsuit is filed will be against Celtic Diva, the official DNC blogger for Alaska. She has filed lawsuit after lawsuit against Palin. The latest, the photo shopped pic of Trig sometime last week. Then there was talk last week that Palin was tired of spending Alaska's money in defense of frivilous law suits.
My only experience is in family law. In that case you can sue an x-spouse or family member for harrassment based on the suits being not found. Of course this is all a guess on my part. Not even sure at this point if I would support Palin in a run for POTUS, I do however find her very interesting. If not for her brains, at least for her balls!
Not sure

I noticed this AM that no one was mentioning the "Federal Indictment" - Looks to me like the letter worked...
