While this Perrelli fellow seems to be the one being thrown to the wolves, however bad their bite might be, on the New Black Panther Party dropped voter intimidation case, I suspect the real story is below the headline. I don't believe this King is related to MLK btw. I doubt very much if MLK, Jr. would have supported the dropping of these charges.
King is no stranger to controversy and what some might consider liberal activism at DOJ. She was involved in the Federal Government challenging the Georgia voter identification law. And also DOJ going after Sheriff Joe Arpaio in Arizona. Way to go with the appointments, Obama. Holder and Obama said DOJ was going to get busy and it appears they have. Few expected that to mean standing down from confronting apparent lawbreakers in this case.
Associate Attorney General Thomas J. Perrelli, the No. 3 official in the Obama Justice Department, was consulted and ultimately approved a decision in May to reverse course and drop a civil complaint accusing three members of the New Black Panther Party of intimidating voters in Philadelphia during November's election, according to interviews.
The delay was ordered by then-acting Assistant Attorney General Loretta Kingafter she discussed with Mr. Perrelli concerns about the case during one of their regular review meetings, according to the interviews.
Having worked for the MLK, Jr. Memorial Foundation (that's right liberals, you read that correctly) this is disappointing news in a relatively minor sense. Apparently this particular intended apple rolled a long way away from the tree in my opinion.

WAITER there is a racist in my suit!
