Could you compile a similar list of left-wing violence since the Okahoma City Bombing? Didn't think so. All you've got is a Black guy standing around in Philly looking intimidating.

The Left believe in peaceful protest and organizing for change using democratic methods. It's the Right and the religious fanatics who believe that violence is a legitimate means of political expression. They're the ones who are always stockpiling weapons, hunting liberals in churches, bombing abortion clinics, etc.

With all the anger that the Left felt over the illegitimate "election" of George W. B*sh, or the unnecessary war in Iraq based on lies that killed more Americans than September 11 (not to mention hundreds of thousands of innocent civilians), I don't remember any significant political violence from the Left. Maybe some windows at a McDonalds got broken during anti-globalization protests in Seattle, that's about it.

"... Black guy standing around in Philly looking intimidating. "

Ummm. A guy dressed up like a gangsta loitering outside a polling place is a loiterer.

Two guys in paramilitary garb brandishing nightsticks (who are not authorized governmental law enforcement agents) is not merely intimidation. It is outright voter suppression, and quite possibly could be construed as a felony crime.

How does Richard Banville see his screen through all that spittle?

This list was compiled by the Southern Poverty Law Center... the organized criminal gang that recently succeeded in confiscating a rancher's property and redistributing it to illegal immigrants, Mugabe-style.

Since the far left is already largely in control of the media, the courts, and the bureaucracies, of course they are less inclined to take up arms against it. If the left is less violent, it's only because they mostly get their way. And when they don't, as after Proposition 8, or after the Rodney King verdict, they are very much capable of violence.

Hey DICK: How about your buddies on the extremist JIHAD front? The left always has a sympathetic ear for our "peaceful" Islamist brothers. Either the crime isn't covered or it's downplayed as a few "harmless" wackos just discussing which military installation to blow up or serviceman to murder. Let's see a tally of incidents with the left's favorite religious minority!

Islamic jihadists are religious extremists. They are ultra-conservative fanatics who want to return the world to the Dark Ages. In this way, they are similar to the homegrown domestic right-wing religious zealots who hope and pray for Armaggeddon.

But they are fully supported and endorsed by the SPLC and its leftist supporters -- and even provided assistance.

Meanwhile, leftist groups that violently murder and torture people receive Federal dollars and support.

Funny how the SPLC doesn't bother to condemn that. Why, it's almost as if they exist to attack conservatives and Republicans while protecting their fellow leftists and racists.

Richard, your memory is oddly selective. What happened to the Earth Firsters, animal righters, the Act-Up gang, the "Black Bloc" thugs, and the repeated appearance of bombs at so-called "peace" marches? Then there were the assaults on people at the 2008 Republican convention -- doesn't tossing bags of cement at a bus full of people based on their political affiliation qualify as politically motivated violence? And in 2004 numerous Bush-Cheney campaign offices were attacked by "protestors" -- organized by the same group, on the same day, across multiple states; doesn't that qualify?

Oh, and let's not forget the 2001 Cincinnati riots -- surely that qualifies as an attempt to "make changes in America through the use of political violence". Given the party membership of the various politicians who rushed to declare the riots an "uprising", it's hard to call it "right-wing".

Dick (do you mind if I call you Dick?), I have no problem condemning the criminals behind the various plots listed by the SPLC. I'm no ally to the white-supremacists, the Christian Identists, and other creatures that populate that list -- most likely I'd be one of their targets -- and have nothing but glee that they were stopped and are facing prison time and/or the death sentence. There are a few on that list for which I'd gladly throw the switch.

So, do you feel the same about the left-wing terrorists? Does it disgust you that President Obama could even TOLERATE the company of Weathermen?

"Funny how the SPLC doesn't bother to condemn that. Why, it's almost as if they exist to attack conservatives and Republicans while protecting their fellow leftists and racists."

I think the SPLC is one of those groups that found itself looking for a new purpose after their success left them aimless. They broke the Democrat/Klan stranglehold on the South, and since then have been chasing odds-and-sods. It's still good -- even necessary -- work, but they've let themselves be blinded by their funding sources.

They do, on occasion, release reports that list groups like the NBPP, but they generally do so quietly. Much like the international human rights organizations, they know what rakes in the cash, and it ain't condemning black racist thugs.

The way to do something about this specific list is to point out that it represents a high figure of around 7 per year in a country with over 300 million people. And, to point out that not all the people on the list are r/w and how some of the things in there are quite weak, such as people who were thinking of joining groups or someone who'd filled out an application but never sent it in.

It might also be helpful to realize that others have been following this group for years:

My file on them is at my name's link.

Why aren't you following them around with a video camera, lonewhacko?

And why do you keep changing the name you comment with?

I can not understand why NAZIs are considered to be right-wing by anyone.

"The Left believe in peaceful protest and organizing for change using democratic methods."

Hilarious !!

"The Left believe in peaceful protest and organizing for change using democratic methods."

Those pesky right-wing Weathermen.
