Joseph Culligan has sniffed out a land deal that might represent a violation of certain tax-related law, while benefiting Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor's family in the form of a $50,000 credit line from Bank of America to which they may not legally be entitled. He's currently awaiting a next response from Bank of America.
At issue is a Florida property which appears to benefit from a Homestead Rebate when allegedly it shouldn't qualify, as Sonia Sotomayor's name should be on the recorded deed due to a previously listed real estate transaction. But it's not. Her Mother, Celina Sotomayor and Omar Lopez are listed on the documents as married and the owners of the property, though Culligan's research, which is generally thorough and very well done as a former PI, can find no marriage certificate.
That and the alleged lack of Sonia Sotomayor's name appearing on the deed where it seemingly should, allowed the couple to obtain a $50,000 credit line to which they may not be entitled. Bank of America was also the recipient of TARP funds.

"Lots of weasel words in their Dan. "
If the property isn't your primary residence in Florida, you can't claim the Homestead exemption. What's so hard about that?
I live in my house in FL (the only one I own in this state) I get the Homestead. If she ain't living in that condo and getting her mail there, then she's busted and owes Broward a bunch of back taxes.
Of course, an Obama appointee without tax problems would be like a day without sunshine.

If the use of "weasel words" is an indictment, what are you going to charge Obama with?
