A reliable source confirms that when you call Levi Johnston's phone number, you're now officially greeted by his new marketing identity in long, loud, boldly-exaggerated phrasing, YOU'VE REACHED R-I-C-K-Y ... H-O-L-L-Y-W-O-O-D!!! As Gawker pointed out with image, he even has the tee-shirt to prove it.
The image was created in consultation with Tank Jones and presumably anti-Palin lawyer Rex Butler.
Levi Johnston, ... has hired Tank Jones, "a size-58 suit-wearing black man," to manage his career and be his bodyguard. He's also developed an alter ego to help him destroy his Wasilla-ness and fully embrace douchedom—"Ricky Hollywood."
But while NBC New York noted that the infamous "baby-daddy" has gone Hollywood, that didn't stop the NBC network from believing he's somehow important and sharp enough to national political developments to weigh in with his opinions. Why, he's just the guy to pass along genuine and heart felt insights into Sarah Palin and her family in an NBC exclusive! Give me a break!
The rather sad interview with NBC's Ann Curry is here- also below. Word is, there's a movie role, a television docudrama and book deal in the works. And, yes, even the AP shows up with the networks when Ricky Hollywood of Wasilla calls a news conference, now. How precious is that? Woo Hoo. Curry assures us this interview is an important Exclusive!!
Funny how the media and the Left couldn't wait to trash Ricky Hollywood when he was at the GOP convention. But now he's one of the few key people able to provide insight into Sarah Palin?? What a joke. Hollywood obviously tries to walk some alleged middle-ground on Palin with his self-promotion. But leave it to NBC to dig out potential issues and Ricky Hollywood can't resist the bait. Like a fish, he's being played and doesn't even know it. Unfortunately, they just can't quite get around to asking Ricky Hollywood how many diapers he's bought, let alone changed. Or, in what other ways he's contributing to his child's support. A classy performance all around. Curry is sooo heart felt at the end. Doesn't it show?
Maybe he should marry Meghan McCain and settle down, after all. The two look more and more like the perfect couple everyday!
Update: Say Anything reports HuffPo has determined Palin doesn't have the authority to pen an op-ed. I don't know. Did they run that by Ricky Hollywood first??

Maybe they could have those other Pravda media darlings like Colin Powell and Scott McClellan as witnesses at their wedding!!

This tool has a big, painful surprise waiting for him when his fifteen minutes are up. The media machine is going to use this guy just like a 50-cent gas station condom, and display just about as much remorse in flushing his dime store ass afterwards.
Posted by: apotheosis | Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at 07:26 PM
Are you kidding? This guy is never going to be flushed away. Women love the guy. The more tool and jerk he is, the more women love him. Let's review: this guy was a class A jerk, and scored Bristol Palin. The number of young (and not so young) women lining up around the block to be with this guy would blow your mind. The bigger the jerk, tool, and bastich, the more women love him.
Ricky Hollywood will be popular for a long, long time. Women love guys like this, and the media and entertainment is based on a nearly total female audience. It's true guys will despise him as much as a Twilight Double Feature, or back to back episodes of the View paired with Oprah, but what does that matter. He's Ricky Hollywood, and women love this guy. Even when he was Levi Johnson, ordinary, unknown jerk, women still loved him.

Let's see. Palin thinks that raising oil prices, which will fund conservation efficiencies will increase the demand for foreign oil. That burning coal - which I think started the industrial revolution 150 years ago - is the wave of the future. That not bothering to internalize the costs of burning fossil fuels (e.g. asthma, lung disease, traffic management) will improve the environment somehow. That despite clear CBO estimates to the contrary, that she knows better that the poor will pay for increased energy costs. That using a market based system to make coal plants in 15 or so states pay for their external costs will "destroy" the economy.
And all of this knowledge held by the Republican Party's biggest "expert" on energy is based on? College or graduate school courses? Authoring analytical studies? Experience working in the field of energy as an engineer, lawyer, economist, scientist? her record in buidling an Ice Rink in Wasilla? Her recently collapsed negotiations on the oil pipeline she already takes credit for? Her appointing a high school friend/real estate agent as Secretary of Agriculture? Being a sports broadcaster? Her husband being a low level worker in the oil industry? No. Her "expertise" consists of one year on a board attending about 10 meetings with other political appointees before she decided to .... yes ... quit. And all the Communist/Terrorist/Fascist Democrats can come up with is some Nobel Laureate in Physics? Hah!

And the reference to John Kerry's service is Vietnam was for what reason? To emphasize that Bush and Cheney both pulled strings to escape from military service? To emphasize that after all the lies by the Swiftboaters, it was confirmed that Kerry is a war hero and that Bush went AWOL? Please, do tell.

Levi Johnson is the new Scott McClelland. Remember how the Left gushed all over McClelland last year when he dumped on the Bush administration? Now where is that doughboy now?
Hey, Ricky Hollywood, watch and learn. You will soon end up on the Left's ash heap on top of Scott McClelland.

lol... wally and the beaver apparently hasn't gotten the news yet that the Rather(gate) documents were forgeries.
And he's also seems unaware that "Kerry is a war hero" because he ran down a kid in a loincloth and shot him in the back.
Hey, I know, let's talk about Barack Obama's military record, since he's the Commander in Chief now and responsible for sending our kids off to die in foreign lands... how 'bout it, beav?

"Let's see. Palin thinks that raising oil prices, which will fund conservation efficiencies will increase the demand for foreign oil."
If you had actually read the cap-and-tax bill, Wally, you would know why.
"Under the Waxman-Markey climate bill that may be voted on today by the U.S. House, refiners would have to buy allowances for carbon dioxide spewed from their plants and from vehicles when motorists burn their fuel. Imports would need permits only for the latter, which ConocoPhillips Chief Executive Officer Jim Mulva said would create a competitive imbalance.
“It will lead to the opportunity for foreign sources to bring in transportation fuels at a lower cost, which will have an adverse impact to our industry, potential shutdown of refineries and investment and, ultimately, employment,” Mulva said in a June 16 interview in Detroit. Houston-based ConocoPhillips has the second-largest U.S. refining capacity.
The same amount of gasoline that would have $1 in carbon costs imposed if it were domestic would have 10 cents less added if it were imported, according to energy consulting firm Wood Mackenzie in Houston. Contrary to President Barack Obama’s goal of reducing dependence on overseas energy suppliers, the bill would incent U.S. refiners to import more fuel, said Clayton Mahaffey, an analyst at RedChip Cos. in Maitland, Florida.
“They’ll be searching the globe for refined products that don’t carry the same level of carbon costs,” said Mahaffey, a former Exxon Corp. refinery manager."
http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=a1ZiIqv3E4QE
Short answer: Obama, in his infinite stupidity, made it cheaper to import oil and gasoline than to refine it here in the United States.
Next up:
"That burning coal - which I think started the industrial revolution 150 years ago - is the wave of the future."
Of course. The United States has virtually unlimited supplies of coal and an entire infrastructure of rail lines, skilled workers, and machinery to exploit it at minimal resource cost and cleanly.
You're probably not aware of this, Wally, but those supertankers that bring in oil? They burn a LOT of fuel and put a LOT of carbon into the atmosphere as they journey thousands of miles to the United States from the Persian Gulf. Of course, you wouldn't recognize that, just as you don't recognize the irony of things like carbon-freak Nancy Pelosi comandeering a 200-plus-seat jetliner to fly her back and forth to San Francisco every week.
"That despite clear CBO estimates to the contrary, that she knows better that the poor will pay for increased energy costs."
Obviously you didn't read the CBO report either, Wally.
Most problematic is the CBO's complete omission of the economic damage resulting from restricted energy use. As footnote 3 on page 4 of the CBO analysis reads, "The resource cost does not indicate the potential decrease in gross domestic product (GDP) that could result from the cap. The reduction in GDP would also include indirect general equilibrium effects, such as changes in the labor supply resulting from reductions in real wages and potential reductions in the productivity of capital and labor."
http://www.heritage.org/Research/EnergyandEnvironment/wm2503.cfm
In short, the CBO assumes that there will be absolutely zero economic effect from a vast new increase in taxes on businesses and productive individuals.
Only in the land of welfare addicts.

The CAP and Tax proposal along with this ludicrous health bill is the absolute worsdt idea ever concocted by the communists now running our govt. Yes Communistse. The demos since 1944 have adopted a communist/socialist agenda. Since the late 1960's they have targeted the democrate party and have taken it over. Using supporter groups who have committed massive voter fraud like acorn and its 250 sub organizations have thrown elections to the demos. Note the last two in 06 and 08. Voter fraud in 08 is what got the non american elected. Yes The Kenyan is not an American. There is no real proof he wasnt born in Kenya since his grandmother says she was there for his birth in Mombassia Kenya. But this is a distraction from the real issues facing the US. A democrate engfineered recession through their mis management of the housing and finance of this country. AS Democrats have run the how since 06, that is when everything started to tank. Economists call it early o7. Demos ran everything and prevented the needed probes into their bed buddies at Freddie and Fannie. Yes Bed Buddies. Barnney Franks boyfriend was the head of Freddie. Freddie and Fannnits of their earnings by over 10 bnil and as people ste both had massive overstatemen arted looking into that they forund that wall strreet had used those mortagqages to bundle into packages and sell them. Rubin started that after he left Clintons employ and became a director at Goldman Sacks. It went bust and brought down our ecomony. And now the Kenyan believes a massive energy tax and health care wioll stimulate jobs in the economy. That asswipe is still smoking dope. BAsic economics will show people the folly of that argument. Taxation for equality will only force companies and the wealthy to locate their fiunds whe cant touch them. Health care? What a joke. We need a million more doctors to even be able to meet the needs that the Kenyan has expoused. What does govt paid for health care mean, higher costs to the people as it is your taxes that pay for it, longer waits as people abuse the system, ineffieient care as those needing stuff may be placed in the back of the line due to age race or anything else the beauracrats admin choose to do. HAve you people lost your mind and really believe the govt can do anything better than the private scetor? Are you all on the Kenyans drugs. Govt is basically inept and incompetant. There are pockets of excellance but they are not at the top running things. They are working in the bowels trying to make insanity work. Be smart America vote down the cap and tax before our businesses gfo to countries that do not impose excessive taxes on business or people. We are the highest taxed nation in the world and now with the assistance of his army of idiots going to raise taxes more. Vote down communist health cazre as it really doesnt work. Look to Canada, Russia, CHina, Britian France. ITS A FAILURE WORLDWIDE. WHY WOULD WE ADOPT SOMETHING THAT HAS FAILED. ITS INSANITY!

I guess the irrational and exuberant love on Sarah Palin needed some sort of irrational and exuberant hatred to balance it out (though one would think auto-loathing Obama would suffice).
Here's one you'll love - from WSJ - this is an excellent distillation of what at the end of the day Sarah Palin was/is ultimately all about. I still think she's decent person that has been and will continue to be chewed up and spit out by all sides...esp. by those here who feel/claim they really understand and care about her -
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124761930140242533.html#mod=rss_opinion_main
"Indeed, if political figures stand for ideas, victimization is what Ms. Palin is all about. It is her brand, her myth. Ronald Reagan stood tall. John McCain was about service. Barack Obama has hope. Sarah Palin is a collector of grievances. She runs for high office by griping."

Posted by: Tim | Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at 12:09 PM
Best way to deal with media whores like young Mr. Hollywood is to ignore them.
He doesn't seem to have the talent to make it much beyond B-movies or vapid reality TV fare... and unless he takes his politics sharply to the left and starts kissing some serious heiney in the Hollywood Pantheon, he won't get very far.
As to the more important issue that our pinko-friend "Wally" mentions:
"--- That burning coal - which I think started the industrial revolution 150 years ago - is the wave of the future. ---"
The modernized Fischer-Tropsch process, combined with carbon sequestration, can create a liquid fuel expedient that could very well burn cleaner than diesel, while preserving an EROEI (Energy Return on Energy Invested) ratio far greater than most attempts at ethanol genesis, especially corn-sugar derived bio-fuels.
So yes, coal production, and along with it, oil shale production, as net costs of sourcing foreign oil routinely exceed $70/bbl remains a very viable option.
But Obummer wants to destroy, if not cripple our Republic and reduce us to the 3rd world status enjoyed by his true homeland of Kenya.
Posted by: seekeronos | Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at 12:24 PM
"his true homeland of Kenya"

Levi Johnston is an idiot and will disappear like so many other of his ilk. Let's address some of the other nonsense spouted by commenters: To emphasize that after all the lies (they had documentation to back up every word they said and they were NEVER discredited despite the lies of the Left) by the Swiftboaters, it was confirmed that Kerry is a war hero (he's a liar and a fraud - no hero) and that Bush went AWOL PRESIDENT Bush did NOT go AWOL and no proof ever existed? Please, do tell. Unless you are referring to FORGED DOCUMENTS produced by CBS which cost Rather and crowd their jobs (as should have happened).

I speak rhetorically: in that while I personally doubt that arguments and legal cases concerning Obama's true citizenship to stand up on evidence presented (namely the scanned bith certificate (despite my personal feelings on the matter) because as sitting POTUS, he can easily order the various intelligence agencies to make any questionable data concerning his true nationality either disappear from the official record, or otherwise legitimize data which did not exist before.
I would like to see a third party - preferably one neither under the control of the Democratic or GOP party apparatuses, nor the federal government - conduct a scientific analysis of his Hawai'i birth certificate and verify that the same is a legitimate copy.
I'm not holding my breath though.
As to his willingness to reduce us to third world status - why not?
He is not terribly different from a great many internationalists before him in wanting to expand the globalist agenda of his handlers (Illuminatists in the Bilderberg and Trilateral Commission organizations) to bring this nation under subjection to global policy makers.
The best way to do that is to destroy the USA spiritually and economically. And to all outward appearances, Obama and his party (which includes actors in both political parties) are pulling out all the stops.
By goosing the gas pedal on the highway to socialism, he and his Congress are unwinding every last bit of a chance free enterprise, individual liberties, and even the institution of the American family itself - all to be replaced by the clumsly hand of the federal government and his preaching that "the constitution should be re-worked / re-built to focus away from individual rights to group rights".
But when all that dust from the shredding of the Constitution has settled, which groups will have all the rights, and which ones will be the serfs holding the short end of the stick?
I'm willing to bet that working class to middle class white Christians - the archetypal Sarah and Todd Palins, the Joe the Plumbers and Mary the Registered Nurses of America... will be in that "serf" category.

"because as sitting POTUS, he can easily order the various intelligence agencies to make any questionable data concerning his true nationality either disappear from the official record, or otherwise legitimize data which did not exist before."
That's quite a leap...in that along with the vast conspiracy that would have had to begin 48 years ago to conceal OB place of birth, one would also need to believe that individuals currently working for US intelligence agencies, etc. would also participate in the deception.
So...again, I don't think you really believe any of this - though I know that some here do.
It's also an unnecessary and irrelevant jumping off point for policy/direction disagreements and criticisms - in that I assume if it was proved beyond any doubt for you that OB was born where, your political critiques would still stand.

Ah yes, but somehow Sarah Palin's son Trig and his birth certificate are perfectly-acceptable grounds.
Since Obama's paid shills like Andrew Sullivan, DailyKos, TPM, and others are demanding Trig Palin's birth certificate and proof of his birth location and parentage, Obama should provide the same. Unless, of course, Obama and his shills want to publicly rebuke these individuals and stop paying them.
