From email: What should the Republican Party stand for?
I was involved with a brief RNC effort along these lines recently in a conference call. You'll find much agreement on smaller government, a prudently low tax structure and less regulation. But there are some issue to discuss within the mix, as well. Let them know what you think.

i think we are at a point where "smaller govt" has lost all meaning relative to a 4 trillion dollar budget, with a 1.5 trillion dollar deficit.
we can sacrifice now, or we can keep borrowing against the posterity of this country.
the gop MUST up the ante in rhetoric, if it wants to keep pace with the fiscal conservatives who have been fleeing the party since 2002.

After poking (and commenting) around a bit on the "callmegop" site, I realized it looks more like a false-flag operation than anything really associated with the GOP.
Meh. Let someone else dance to the tune played by an anonymous ad agency somewhere.

The GOP just needs to have one simple message ready to go for the 2010 elections and that is "We will stop Obama from further destroying the country." They will sweep the Dems from the table. Then in 1012 they run on undoing everything he did. By the time the mid-terms come around things are going to be so bad the GOP will win in a landslide.
At that point the GOP needs to start hauling anyone in a leadership position in the Democratic Party in front of investigative committees for their crimes against the country.

let's take a peak at the 787 billion dollar stimulus...
the 10 year note is currently providing a 3.54% rate of return.
787 billion borrowed at the above rate means we will have to pay out 1.121 trillion in the next 10 years.
we got 787 billion today, if we just agree to spend 121 billion a year to repay it for the next 10 years.
so, even if we get our money's worth, we are still chucking 334 billion down a hole, so that we can have the instant gratification of our dear leader.
barack obama may hate you children now, but if he can cast this country and govt in his image, they won't even know why they will be living in abject poverty. I guess that is the real secret of power-make sure you write the history.

I agree with Rob. And(my own worry)if the EPA has been taken over by goons, the other agencies have too. Lotsa psyops going on.
I like the way you hash things out here and if the GOP wants info they should just read you

GFWOT. Fixing the "brand" from a mass-market "brand" perspective is a guarantee of squish and "moderation." F^ck that, it's a FAIL. The GOP don't need a message tweak, they need a frickin' spine.
"Post-Advertising Agency". Post-Adolescent, try. Twits.
Did I use enough foul language?

It doesn't matter what the GOP does. It can re-brand every which way to h--l all it wants.
The majority of Americans are WAY too stupid to have it matter. They vote the way they are told to vote by MSM.
Hope & Change forever, baby!
