Foreign to America, that is. Suddenly we're the country that stands with dictators over small D democratic movements? The Honduras move is a disgrace. Just what we need in the WH, our own little Hugo Chavez. Everyday I trust this guy less and less.
With each passing day, the vapidness of the Obama administration's foreign policy becomes more clear.

why doesn't the admin trot out their point man, Bill Ayers, on latin american affairs?
the irony of watching president "No Pre-condition/No meddling" dipping his toes into honduras, in defense of a chavez puppet, who merely had the poor taste of having the Venezuelan's print up the ballots for an illegal referendum is just too good.
what were the chances of a state supreme court certifying Al Franken, in the same week that honduran supreme court certifies the removal of Zeleya?

I've seen the list of "punishing measure" the US can take:
cut foreign aid.
our foreign aid to honduras was scheduled to be a whopping 70 million. Even sally struthers would be more successful in trying to get the equivalent of a 10 dollar check yearly check for everyone in honduras.
cut military aid.
our motive for investing any technological advancement in honduras was almost exculsively centered around keeping a system of rapid rxn against chavez in vz. since chavez is now our admin's ally, the pretext of dropping military aid for politcal reasons is infintely more pleasing to chavez, than damaging the crediblity of the honduran govt.

the question to ask if you want your wh press pass revoked?
Q: Would President Obama be willing to meet with the govt officials of Honduras 'without pre-condition'?

At first I felt like I was in that strange Star Trek alternate universe where good is bad and bad is good.
Now it is more like a car crash you see about to happen -- you know it's dangerous, you are close enough that might actually get hurt and you can't do anything about it, but you simply can't take your eyes off of it.
I just hope it ends up being a Car-b-que and not a tanker truck filled with propane!

Either our “President” is exceptionally naïve or he has a specific agenda contrary to our values, and indeed our interest, in his foreign policies. Siding with Chavez--Venezuela, Ortega--Nicaraguja, the Castro brothers--Cuba, Morales--Bolivia, Correa--Ecuador, Insulza--OAS Secretary General and D'Escoto--UN General Assembly President, he has clearly demonstrated that he is dancing cheek to cheek with socialists and communists. By so doing he has managed to economically paralyze Honduras -- a poor but proud country in Central America that has managed to build a democratic foundation since 1981, is a friend to the United States and is working hard to improve the living standard of its people.
Herein lies the revealed truth of this Chicago gutter-snipe and his leftist Un-American cadre. We either stop him now or face serious consequences at home and abroad. It is time to stop our endless debating about who is or who is not a good Conservative, Republican or Libertarian. We have a clear and present danger facing us and we need to go over to the attack against those who would bind us in chains and enslave people around the world.

Just in case you are actually making this argument in good faith - i.e. you believe that the things you are saying are actually true - you should know that you are very, very ill-informed.

The OAS isn't unanimously suspending Honduras because of Barack Obama and Hugo Chavez. You sound insane - totally disconnected from reality - but I am aware that you are just misinformed. That's the thing about a universe of information that comes from ideological sources with low ethical standards - crazy things sound real.

Google "Al Giordano". Read the last eight or ten posts, complete with videographic evidence. This is the literal opposite of reality.
It's sort of scary that informational divergence in your world is this extreme.

Sorry, glasnost, it's you who are ill-informed...or perhaps it would be better to say 'a denier' or even 'useful idiot'. Greg Weeks doesn't know what he is talking about. And Al Giordano? Where did you dig up that left-wing hack. If you really wanted to understand what is going on in Central America -- along with South America -- you would go down there and live for a while. I know quite a bit about the area...and, by the way, also about Chicago gutter-snipes. If that troubles you so, then go have a lie-down, drink some water, sit on the porch, try on silly hats, do whatever morons do.
