Let's all take a breath. When comments get out of control and start to eat up my time, they stop being fun. And when people get too personal, I have to believe that's true for them, as well.
I am not singling anyone out here. I don't want anyone to stop, or go away. But let's try and keep it fun and funny, without demeaning this or that one, or each other, over and over, again. It gets old pretty quick. Thanks.

sorry dan,
when i found "officer" slide trying to arrange an illegal fight, I had to give him a chance to deal with a sanctioned, legal one.
as with his police service delusions, I felt it was best to not validate his fantasies.
my offer still stands slide, but I doubt there is a cure for your stds that would allow your particapation.

I think that needed to be said... otherwise it's just a waste
of everyone's time here.
Trolls with an agenda... why don't you find something positive to
do with your lives rather than electronic vandalism.

Frankly, it isn't much of a discussion if everyone agrees. Dan has been pretty "liberal" with commenters here and pretty much let's anyone play....and get by with a lot....But I have to admit name calling and personal attacks get a bit old quickly.

And please let's not pretend that conservative posters on the whole are any better behaved than us liberal posters. There definitely seems to be a trend where comments from liberals are automatically presumed to be obnoxious, and their authors automatically be considered to be trolls, when the real issue is people simply stating opinions that others don't want to hear. I'm not looking for sympathy by any means, but the hypocrisy gets to be a bit tiresome. So please, spare us the "trolls with an agenda" nonsense.
And I agree with Wahoo Willie that differences in opinion makes for a more lively discussion.

"And please let's not pretend that conservative posters on the whole are any better behaved than us liberal posters."
bob, you should read your own posts. you have this word that you tend to use..."typical conservatives".
I accept that there are conservative dems, moderate dems, liberal dems. the funny thing is that the same spectrum applies to many of the posters here, who are conservatives.
you are the king of "broad brushing". so in this sense, I can accept that there is diveristy to be found in both parties, and posters, but you seem to have a problem with anyone who is not a democrat, and you refuse to accept that there is a wide diversity among the posters here.
so in this sense, I am better than you. please don't try to create some equivocation that doesn't exist.

Bob, did you read my post about npt sing;ing anyone out? But the first thing you have to do is jump down here and whine and lecture. STFU already. I'm sick of it. I made the only relevant point here. I don't need your damn slanted BS jumping in. Now chill, or get the hell out.

Dan unintentionally made Bob's point rather succinctly

Dan, thanks for personally embodying just the kind of intolerant hypocrisy I was describing. It's no wonder that so many of the posters here follow your example.
And I wasn't even referring to you anyway. I was referring to "reaganite republican," who's typical of a certain type in describing any dissenting viewpoint as "trolls with an agenda."
I've never whined to anyone here because I can stick up for myself. I'm the last person who'd be whining to have someone banned just because I disagreed with their opinion, unlike some others.
And mark, I'll take your innate sense of superiority and cash it in, plus $1.70, for a nice cup 'o coffee at Starbucks, since that's about what it's worth. Since you're so special, maybe they won't charge extra for the cream and sugar.

It might be noticed if only by me that I rarely personalize anything said here and for good reason. Its a comment on the thread, not a personalization of the peeps here whether they agree or disagree with the thread.I do like teasing the troll contingent in a general way as its so obvious their motivation for being here at all is to get a rise from there blustery contrarianism.
BTW, I like my coffee like my president,Black with no suger or cream.Or the brains of a tick.
Sorry, I was just feelin it Dan
