Right on, great post Dan

Palin’s move just puts yet more pressure on Obama to finally get some results, as the soaring rhetoric isn’t hypnotizing the plebes like it used to. This week Helen Thomas, Colin Powell, and Warren Buffet all turned on him. Polls are looking droopy for The One lately.

Obama’s porkulus program is a train wreck, all it’s done is bump interest rates and tank the dollar. We are being laughed at by bad guys like Tehran, Pyongyang, and Al Qaida who amazingly turned-down Barack’s timid friend-requests.

Palin could trounce him in 2012, when Americans would vote for the Gipper-in-Heels in droves- while begging for lower taxes, free enterpise, a defense posture with some backbone… an end to the radical, anti-American nightmare we’ve got now. the cabinet/fundraising scenario you lay forth makes a lot of sense, too.

Go get ‘em Sarah-

I watched mccain trip and stumble into the nomination with the following returns:

IA-13%.
NH-37%.
MI-30%.
NV-13%.
SC-33%...etc.
her baseline support in the gop would garner 35-45%, without spending a single dollar in advertising.

dan linked to a story where biden couldn't fill a room with 130 chairs. palin could have filled the seats with a press contingent alone. As it stands there are two stars in politics, one being obama and the other being palin. I'm sure the left would be critical of the conservative support for palin, but given that their 2nd most important dem can't draw a crowd, while palin can bring in 10-20k for a tea party suggests who holds the power in politics.

she was never a first choice, but the woman will do.

palin/jindal 2016, but no damage would be done if they went for 2012. The decision is actually outside of her control. If unemployment is still over 10%, gdp is sluggish, and inflation is high the gop could win on a ticket of kermit and miss piggy in 2012.

This is why it is important to makes sure that we all work to make Obama fail. He desperately depends on conservatives to do what we always do, which is buckle down and try improve things and make things work.

If you love this country we need to go gault as much as possible. Save as much as possible, put off big purchases, don't travel. Pay off any debt you have. Pay for everything with cash.

Call your representative as much as possible and complain and let them know that you are angry. If at all possible go to their events and confront them. Physically get in their faces, don't use profanity or make violent threats, but invade thier personal space make them feel uncomfertable and insecure. This will make them think twice about toeing Nancey P.'s line.

Start boycotting bussiness that you know support Democrats and let the owner know why you are no longer doing bussiness with them.

poll from Nov 7, 2008.
some excerpts...

Sixty-nine percent (69%) of Republican voters say Alaska Governor Sarah Palin helped John McCain’s bid for the presidency, even as news reports surface that some McCain staffers think she was a liability.

Only 20% of GOP voters say Palin hurt the party’s ticket, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey. Six percent (6%) say she had no impact, and five percent (5%) are undecided.

Ninety-one percent (91%) of Republicans have a favorable view of Palin, including 65% who say their view is Very Favorable. Only eight percent (8%) have an unfavorable view of her, including three percent (3%) Very Unfavorable.

When asked to choose among some of the GOP’s top names for their choice for the party’s 2012 presidential nominee, 64% say Palin. The next closest contenders are two former governors and unsuccessful challengers for the presidential nomination this year -- Mike Huckabee of Arkansas with 12% support and Mitt Romney of Massachusetts with 11%."

what conservatives thought of mccain?

From your lips -- or err, your fingers -- to God's ears -- or, uh, eyes.

Sounds like a plan to me.

Brilliant.

There is nobody else out there besides Palin except maybe Bobby Jindal. By this move she has the whole nation holding their breath, watching her on the high trapeze. Yes, she could fall. But if she doesn't, Obama better hope his Stimulus for Dummies sprouts brains, and fast.

And now she's going to write the biggest blockbuster best-sellers in the history of the US, "Dreams of my Alaska," and "The Audacity of Liberty."

Could she take a senate seat? Make Soetoro's final two years living hell. And start doing the piranha on the Soetoro cap and tax legislation---- which will be gutted in large part along the way (theory: it's too expensive to implement it...the dems just want the press of being able to say they fought global warming, er, i mean climate change). The whole bill is cover for Hank Paulson and Company to fleece the carbon trading exchange for a few years and then move on. Sarah can facilitate the development of a better energy policy.

I think Energy would be a good cabinet post for her, but who would be an electable Pubbie for Prez. I hope Mitt goes and gets a job or something. He'd be a disaster to try and get elected. Mormonism is a hard sell. Almost as hard as Follower of ISLAM.

The move to resign is a stroke of political genius. I know some of the folks who are advising her and they were the folks who made Reagan what he was as a presidential candidate---- and even were in on the engineering of the downfall of the Soviet Union. The storefront GOP has been taken over by stuffed suits. But the genius of the party has simply stepped aside through the New World Order Bush1 and Bush2 years following Reagan's double term. They are a venerable lot, and haven't been doing battle for the soul of the party in the wake of Newt and others who don't have the hutzpah to LEAD.

Palin represents a sea change back to the outsider league of conservatism. Bush2 was a New World Order insider. Reagan wasn't. Carter was a New World Order insider. Palin definitely isn't in anybody's bag.

Palin's resignation, by my limited perspective, is a shot heard around the world. Hell hath NO FURY as a woman scorned. There will be a political reckoning on all of this. Conditions are right for a political tsunami to wash away the Dhimmicratic debris that passes as leadership. Political control is a waste of power in America--- and the Soros brand of power mongering with Soetoro on the puppet strings, isnt sustainable in the USA.

First woman President will play much bigger across voting lines, especially with most women being left much worse off economically because of Soetoro's economically retarded policies. Sarah Palin understands how to make things work. One doesnt have to do it for 40 years to qualify as an executive. Hell, Soetoro is showing what happens when ya got nothin!

We must be patient and persistent in our organizing and preparations to wage the Second American Revolution--- without firing a shot.

Go Sarah Go!

Bear1909 out.

I just hope Sarah has a crack security team around her. The BFF of Marxist and Jihadi dictators, the discarder of abortion survivors, has shown he has the soul of a reptile. I don't rule out anything this guy would do to keep power. Divine Providence is credited for keeping Gen. Washington in the game. Let's hope it's on the job for darling Sarah.

"I don't rule out anything this guy would do to keep power." One thing wrong with your comment Gary... you forgot the all-caps:

"I DON'T RULE OUT ANYTHING THIS GUY WOULD DO TO KEEP POWER." Anyone who fails to understand Alinsky and The Won's fealty to his "Rules for Radicals" is a target. The guy gives me the creeps.

She's definetly in the Catbird seat as I see it.NO stress,No worries,No pressure. What comes is for all to see.
I think I'll go take a walk and dream the dreams of of an excellent adventure. Happy 4th everyone!!

One thing that has to happen for conservatives to eventually prevail is that ultra right wingers and some others in conservatism have to gain a lot sharper focus on the issues and stop paying attention to the details of their leaders personal lives so much. It makes conservatives vulnerable in a particular way. I don't say conservatives should become amoral. I just think they sometimes discount excellent candidates over issues that are not really the meat of the issues. Example: Romney and his Mormon faith. A Palin scandal, even a small one of the right sort could cause her to lose supporters among the right wing. Scandals get jinned up on a regular basis in politics. Sometimes a set of blinders would be appropirate. Conservatives need to stick to the issues and prioritize issues logically, not emotionally. Depend on the other side to stir up personal scandals. It is what they do.

on romney:
i supported romney vs. the field.

the mormon thing was something that I at the time believed, but now, in retropsect, consider it a result of a weak candidate.

he didn't do well in neighboring states, demonstrating very little currency with regional conservtives who knew him.

his big claim to fame in regards to policy was instituting massive healthcare in his state, by pushing for mandatory enrollment for people who would largerly not use the service, 25-45 males. Should have run as a dem.

I looked for something, anything, I could hang my hat on with romney. There was nothing there.
