There are different types of college entitlements. Certainly expanding the Pell Grant program so significantly, see video, given the data, may not be a good idea.
If you asked Obama, I wouldn't be surprised to hear that we just don't spend enough on education in America.
But take a look at these announcements from conservative Senator Chuck Grassley's news feed compiled over one week. Over four million dollars for one Senator in one state. I can only imagine what some other politician's announcements look like. I bet it all almost adds up to what some might call real money.
July 13 - $130,656 to University of Iowa from U.S. Department of Education
July 13 - $256,356 to the University of Iowa
July 10 - $935,500 to University of Iowa
July 9 - $599,954 to the University of Iowa
July 8 - $183,071 to Ankeny Community Schools
July 7 - $380,034 to the University of Iowa
July 7 - $455,288 to Cedar Falls Community School District
July 7 - $883,578 to Des Moines Public Schools
July 7 - $799,421 to Clarke College and Indian Hills Community College

BTW Obama's tax cuts are working nicely -

our local community college is signing students who recently lost their jobs. They are offering 30 credits for free, only pay for books and labs, etc. They have to be getting that money from somewhere? the article didnt mention where funding was coming from.

I'll wager that despite millions in educational funding not a single Professor at the University of Iowa is capable of paying their own taxes; Harvard graduated a White House full of illiterates just as educated on the subject as is the head of the IRS.

I was in Iowa City visiting a friend last week, and you should know that there were several buildings that were essentially destroyed by the floods a couple of summers ago. Two of those buildings, including the performing arts center, have to be entirely relocated according to the environmental folks, so it's not a matter merely of repairs.
