Henry Louis Gates, Jr. sold his last black website to AOL and cashed out. Now he has The Root. I didn't think much of it when a commenter left the remark, except perhaps they were being out of line. Unfortunately, it seems to be the case.
New Black Website “The Root” is at the Root of What’s Wrong with Media
In his joint effort with with Washingtonpost.Newsweek Interactive, it appears Gates employs only blacks.
The Root is part of the Amazon Associates program. When we mention books, CDs, and other products, we include links to their Amazon pages. If readers follow those links and buy products from Amazon, The Root receives a commission. The Root is published by Washingtonpost.Newsweek Interactive.
The interesting part of this is that I don't really mind if Gates as a businessperson wants to hire only black people; that is his right.
However, I do think he should follow the laws that he himself agitates for and call himself a bigot for refusing to hire non-blacks.

Hahaha I am certain the "diverse" forums in black barber shops is how President Obama developed his social justice mindset and his prejudice against free market economics.

Uh, no business has the right to denied employment based on race.
