Yeah, the Commies always wage a war on faith first. Without that, the only higher power left is the State.

Hey Dan,
As an Orthodox Jew, I am offended. Seriously. The ACLU's attack on Christianity and public religious observance is nothing less than an attempt to remove G-d and mount The State as the master.
[Er, why is Thlide A) out of the tube, and B) so threatened by G-d? Poor sod.]

God shall have the last laugh:
"-----
1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the LORD shall have them in derision.
5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
-----"
(Psalm 2)

Because the evil rulers of this nation fear not the True God of Israel, Isaac and Abraham, so also will His Divine Wrath be executed, as against the godless, the unrepentant, and ungrateful nation that has forgotten her God.
Socialism shall be a curse upon this nation, a snare to our feet, as a scorpion-flogwhip's sting upon our backs, and a searing iron to put out our eyes as the final iron yoke is closed over our necks.
All because we have turned our backs on God, and dared to shake our fists at Him as we suffer the rightful consequences of our folly!
Repent, America, for thy judgment is at hand.

"Repent, America, for thy .... etc."
Who would have guessed Jeremiah Wright was reading this blog.

Nope! My God is very much the opposite of that false idol of the moon-demon "Allah".
My God offers mercy, forgiveness, love and grace: thought we are all sinners, He sent His Only Begotten Son to die in our place, that we might be redeemed to Him.
This is WHY we are able to repent. Also, why we have a CHOICE. Of course, if we choose wrong, and continue to ignore God... then there's the only other alternative: eternal death and punishment in Hell.
Islam's false "god" forces obedience at sword point, and offers no hope of eternal salvation.
As for the Jeremiah Wright remark... his political motivations and his racialism behind his preaching (btw, he never discussed REPENTENCE at length) were certainly suspect - but the message itself is reasonably on target.
We have sinned as a nation by forgetting to give glory and thanks to God, and so our wisdom has been darkened and turned to foolishness.
And finally, I stand by my quote of Psalm 2: Jesus came already once to address redemption from sin. He is coming again, this time... to rule and to reign as KING, and He will discipline the nations with a rod of iron, ruling with perfect and righteous judgment.
Unlike what we humans have tried to do for the past 6,000+ years of written history.
