Black Officers Support Crowley, Bail On Obama

Both black officers in this video take exception to Gates, not Crowley. And one former Obama supporter says she won't vote for him again based on this incident and his remarks.

It isn't about color for the largest percentage of Americans, including on the Right. It is the elites, the liberals and people like Gates and Obama who are racially obsessed.

We won't truly all get along until the race baiters and racial manipulators like those folks cease and desist. And we know how they behave when someone tells them that. I fear they are incapable of seeing the world as it is, as they are too interested in cashing in on the lines of division they consistently foster.

We need to keep exposing them for what they really are, as it's the only way they will ever stop.

the profiling theory that gates has been going with, which was floated by obama at his presser, is a definite no-go.

trying to cash in on the victimization/profiling that does occur, especially in urban areas to the poorest african americans, doesn't pass the sniff test.

Seems like Crawley's Police Report was at a minimum sloppy but some might suggest not truthful.

"A report filed by the arresting officer, Sgt. James M. Crowley, said she told him she had seen “what appeared to be two black males with backpacks” on the porch of the home.

On Monday, Ms. Whalen’s lawyer said she had never mentioned race to Sergeant Crowley.

“She didn’t speak to Sergeant Crowley at the scene except to say, ‘I’m the one who called,’ ” said the lawyer, Wendy J. Murphy. “And he said, ‘Wait right there,’ and walked into the house. She never used the word black and never said the word backpacks to anyone.”

hmmm... interesting. Race never gets mentioned by the person that called 911 nor in the subsequent radio transmissions yet Crwoley's report tells a different story. And where did he get this about "backpacks". The complainant said she saw luggage but he called it backpacks. Not many bunglers do their break-ins while carrying luggage.

Interesting. I don't know what it means but I find it curious that Crowley found it necessary to make stuff up about the incident. Makes you question the rest of the report doesn't it? you know, the "your momma" comment and all the supposed yelling and "tumultuous" behavior on the part of the professor which strangely was notably absent in the radio transmissions that I heard.

Interesting. Very interesting. Perhaps there is a simple explanation for the report's discrepancy. I look forward to hearing it.

As cops we have a huge amount of peer pressure to support each other because we all know we could be on the other end of the magnifying glass some day. But in doing so, I take the case of the many many more police officers who would have sucked it up and walked away from the "confrontation" without having to resort to the abuse of authority in making the arrest. Being supportive of bad police behavior does not translate into being supportive of police.

Even the Fox Legal Analysis, a retired judge, admits that it was an improper arrest:

Judge Andrew Napolitano, a Fox News judicial analyst, explained to Shepard Smith on Monday that under Massachusetts law, Cambridge Sergeant Jim Crowley did act improperly by arresting historian Henry Louis Gates.

His argument essentially boils down to the difference between public and private domain. As Crowley arrested Gates for causing a “public disturbance,” the action is improper on its face due to that fact that that Gates was in his own home. Additionally, Napolitano said, it was illegal for the police to enter the house to begin with, as the source of the report did not pass legal muster to constitute probable cause.

Napolitano added that because of the violation of Gates’ constitutional rights, he would be eligible to pursue legal action against the police department.

In his police report, arresting officer Sergeant James Crowley wrote that woman who reported the suspected break-in “went on to tell me that she observed what appeared to be two black males with backpacks on the porch of Ware Street.”

Attorney Wendy Murphy, who represents the 911 caller Lucia Whalen, said her client never spoke with arresting officer Sgt. James Crowley at the scene.

“Whalen’s lawyer [...] said yesterday her client’s only contact with Crowley was fleeting, with Whalen saying ‘Excuse me, I’m the one who called,’ and the Cambridge cop replying, ‘Stay right there,’” reported The Boston Herald.

“I want to know that, in light of the fact that Mr. Gates 4th Amendment rights have been violated, will [the media] rush to his defense? Will they demand that the Cambridge Police apologize?” asked blogger George Cook at Lets Talk Honestly.

“Will those same talking heads question the fact that the words black and backpack appear in Sgt. Crowley’s police report although the 911 caller never mentions those words in her call?”

He concludes: “We all believe we know the answers to those questions. Let’s hope we are wrong.”

Why should we believe anything else in that police report ? Why aren't you demanding that Crowley apologize to Ms. Whalen for lying about her? Slide cannot comprehend that a police officer would turn in or criticize another police officer for doing something wrong. That says volumes about the kind of corruption that Slide and his leftist Obama Party members support and endorse, given that they put friendship and personal associations ahead of enforcing the law and doing their jobs.

Out here in the real world, we trust the police and we trust people like King to do their jobs and enforce the law fairly, regardless of personal associations. The fact that Slide and Obama are both incapable of doing that demonstrates their unfitness to be in government service.
