Ugh, oh well. Check it off to yet another thing I'll be paying for. You're welcome everybody!

I'm shocked that the Won didn't require the purchase of a new car from GM.

Hey now I can take that 1973 AMC Gremlin off my front lawn!!! I knew it would be worth something one day!

Hmmm. I bet scammers are already looking to game this new system.

And I too, am surprised that it does not come with a condition to buy a new car from GM, or that the voucher didn't come as a "tax credit".

Will there ever be a time that folks who have half a brain and can take somewhat good care of themselves will find themselves on the right side of Obama's handouts?

Sorry I managed not to buy a giant, jewel encrusted, chrome wheel, bass pumping, gas guzzeling Lincoln Navigator. Yeah, hand that guy MORE money. Great feaking idea.

"--- Sorry I managed not to buy a giant, jewel encrusted, chrome wheel, bass pumping, gas guzzeling Lincoln Navigator. Yeah, hand that guy MORE money. ---"

Yup. Though you forgot to add the fender-well blacklighting kit, the smoke-out kits to the exhaust system, and of course, the curb-feelers and spinning rims. That's making da hoopty-ride all the more classy!

"-- But how comforting is it to a likely majority of individuals like me who have a newer car that gets decent mileage? The one I had to provide a trade-in and down payment for and still get to pay off at the end of every month without any help from Uncle Sam - I mean, me and other taxpayers. --"

Shorter Dan: "Tax cuts aren't as fun when I miss my chance to get them!" In other news, the $8k credit for buying a new house is unfair, because Dan's not buying a new house.

I imagine that whole Making-Work-Pay tax cut pissed off Dan pretty hard, too, on account of his unemployment status.

"-- Though you forgot to add the fender-well blacklighting kit, the smoke-out kits to the exhaust system, and of course, the curb-feelers and spinning rims. That's making da hoopty-ride all the more classy! --"

RACIST LULZ!

What you'll never get, IslamoLlama, is that the vast majority of people think that the government should reward intelligent behavior and not the exact opposite.

Meanwhile, while your attempt to make fun of Riehl's employment status is not unexpected, it shows your hypocrisy, given your belief that people should never work and should live off welfare instead.

Yet another dumbass "Shorter Dan" comment from the resident troll!!

Way to show up and brighten up everyone's day there fido! You just love dry humping Dan's leg you pesky little poodle!!

Almost refreshing after having to read all of the Astroturfing crap from CoNar and J-me and the NoCents posts the past couple of weeks.

And Brother Seek how dare you question the proper pimping out of a brothers ride!! You completely forgot about the 4-12" Rockford Fosgate Subs and the power amps! That credit ought to just about cover the cost! I can reccomend Yung's Beat Shop here in Sac they hooked this OG up with some serious bounce in my ride!!

For your sorry white ass there Lame-O, OG stands for Original Gangster or (Old Gangster)! But I'm sure a cultural expert like you already knew that!

Listened to any Chris Brown, Kayne or Akon there lately?

Didn't think so, you racist!!

"-- What you'll never get, IslamoLlama, is that the vast majority of people think that the government should reward intelligent behavior and not the exact opposite. --"

Must be why McCain / Palin lost in a landslide.

"-- Meanwhile, while your attempt to make fun of Riehl's employment status is not unexpected, it shows your hypocrisy, given your belief that people should never work and should live off welfare instead. --"

Hahahaha. Indeed? You'll have to show me my quote on that.

See, that's why you wingnuts haven't been able to win at elections in a while. Your big trump cards - defense and fiscal responsibility - turned out to be flops, and now all you have to cling to is these strawmen that you're convinced you've got pegged.

I think the $400 tax cut specifically targeting employed citizens which I fully support reveals what I think of employment. I think the 15% capital gains tax rate reveals exactly what your party thinks about employment. You've got Obama rewarding the working class and Bush rewarding the royalty-check / inheritance class.

Of course, unemployment itself isn't funny. We're looking at 10% unemployment nationwide in a month or two. And if Dan got laid off from a genuine blue/white collar job - say, if his car dealership got axed by a bankrupt auto industry - I'd feel for him. But Dan hasn't had an honest job in years. When he was cheer leading Bush's economic brilliance in '05 and '06, he was unemployed. When he was deriding the Pelosi/Reid Congress in '07 and '08, he was unemployed. Now, in the thick of nation wide financial meltdown, he can't help but play the "welfare queens in their cadallaics!" outrage card, despite STILL being unemployed.

All this talk of Dan's brand new car, that he bought on his mommy's credit card, and how he won't be getting a big enough tax credit for it... Cry me a fucking river.

Must be why McCain / Palin lost in a landslide.

That's because Obama lied during the campaign. Do you really think people voted for his planned massive tax increases, his appointment of tax cheats to Cabinet positions, and his taking of lobbyist money?

"I think the $400 tax cut specifically targeting employed citizens which I fully support reveals what I think of employment."

Wrong.

First, it isn't a tax cut, given that millions of people will have to pay it back.

http://finance.yahoo.com/news/INSIDE-WASHINGTON-Rude-apf-15091434.html?.v=1

With real tax cuts, taxpayers KEEP the money and are NOT required to pay it back later.

"I think the 15% capital gains tax rate reveals exactly what your party thinks about employment. You've got Obama rewarding the working class and Bush rewarding the royalty-check / inheritance class."

Actually, do you know what else is covered under capital gains?Home sales. Stock sales, either directly or as part of a 401(k). All things that literally millions of working-class Americans have, do, and are affected by. Your screaming about raising capital-gains taxes would directly affect those millions of working-class individuals by imposing crushing taxes on their sale of a home, their sale of stock, their tapping their retirement savings, and numerous other things.

If you actually filed and paid taxes, you would know that; obviously, you don't, just like Geithner, Solis, Daschle, Stark, Rangel, and innumerable other leftist Obama Party members. You don't care about the working class; you're actually pushing to RAISE taxes on them.

"We're looking at 10% unemployment nationwide in a month or two."

Impossible. You were whining and screaming that unemployment would never go above 8% if we passed Obama's "stimulus" package. Now it's obvious that you lied to the American people -- AGAIN.

Too bad your party is based on lies, IslamoLlama. It's amazing how defensive and hateful you get when your lies are exposed as such. Do you think Americans will continue to believe your lies about "tax cuts" when they get a huge tax bill at year end? Do you think they'll believe your lies about the "stimulus" package when you scream, like you did now, that unemployment is going to be several percentage points above where you claimed it would stop due to the "stimulus" package?

" I bet scammers are already looking to game this new system."

I'm not a scammer. I prefer to be called an arbitrage speculator.

"-- That's because Obama lied during the campaign. Do you really think people voted for his planned massive tax increases, his appointment of tax cheats to Cabinet positions, and his taking of lobbyist money? --"

Comedy gold. As I recall, Geitner was sworn in despite owing back taxes and received votes from Republicans and Democrats alike. He paid taxes and penalties pursuant to US law. He did the crime and did the time. That's more than can be said of the Bush cronies Harriet Myers, Josh Bolton, and Karl Rove who continue to defy Congressional subpoenas, a criminal offense. As for the rest of your "Obama lied" bullshit, he continues to maintain an approval rating into the high 60s. I really think people would still vote for him if there was an election tomorrow, yes.

From your article:
"-- But new tax withholding tables issued by the IRS could cause millions of taxpayers to get hundreds of dollars more than they are entitled to under the credit, money that will have to be repaid at tax time. --"
"-- --A single worker with two jobs making $20,000 a year at each job will get a $400 boost in take-home pay at each of them, for a total of $800. That worker, however, is eligible for a maximum credit of $400, so the remaining $400 will have to be paid back at tax time -- either through a smaller refund or a payment to the IRS. --"

So they'll get more than their $400/$800 worth and be required to pay back the difference? They still get the stated credit. They just have to pay back the overpayment.

Seriously, math continues to be a wingnut weak suite.

"-- Impossible. You were whining and screaming that unemployment would never go above 8% if we passed Obama's "stimulus" package. Now it's obvious that you lied to the American people -- AGAIN. --"

Again, you'll have to quote me on that. I don't remember ever making such a claim. Nor do I ever remember making such a statement to "the American people -- AGAIN." Obama's budget office may have projected an 8% peak in unemployment. Is that what you're talking about? An economic projection? Do you have a link?

"-- Too bad your party is based on lies, IslamoLlama. It's amazing how defensive and hateful you get when your lies are exposed as such. You're a sad, sad, confused little man NDT. Try brushing up on basic math first. Then we'll work from there. For a guy screaming about black helicopters and secret muslims and Obama coming to take your guns, you have a lot of balls tossing around the term "liar".

Islamo, name the last time you got a job from a poor man.

"As for the rest of your "Obama lied" bullshit, he continues to maintain an approval rating into the high 60s."

So Lame-O are you so high on the Xerxes Kool-Aid that you just make shit up?

Really?

Hey poodle, is sounds like you're the one with the math issues!

While his personal popularity is high his handling of the economy isn't,

"Trust Obama on Economic Crisis 30%"

Your leg humping is getting tiresome Lame-O!

"Do you have a link?"

Are you really so lazy that you can't do your own research?

And Dallas is not little!

"-- Islamo, name the last time you got a job from a poor man. --"

Working at H&R Block, I did taxes for a number of people making under $20k / year. I had a friend who worked in retail at Ross (outlet clothing store) in high school and a number of others that did the fast food / retail / pizza delivery job thing. I don't think any of us were under the delusion that our jobs would exist if our only shoppers were non-poor people.

There are entire businesses - Cricket wireless phone for instance - with a target market of the "poor man". I mean, I have absolutely no idea what your point is with that question, aside from making some snide comment about how poor people never did anything good for the economy, but if that's all you've got to say, then you're wrong.

I don't qualify because my car already gets good gas mileage. My dad swears by the car buying process here: http://excarsalesman.typepad.com/ It is kind of similar.

I haven't tried it yet, but I might because it looks good.

I have a feeling dealers are going to automatically increase prices because of the increased demand (artificial) for lower MPG cars. So the thousands of savings from this bill for consumers is not entirely accurate. The demand will increase prices and you'll get a voucher from increased prices. I'm certain some markets you'll come out even as if they never offered this voucher. It is poorly written legislation.

Islamo, right in front of your eyes and you can not see it.

So it's in their business intrest to keep thier customers poor? I'm sure that they're glad that Obama won then.
By the way it wasn't even close to what anybody would call a landslide...

http://www.slate.com/id/2220803/

don't be stupid.

"Working at H&R Block, I did taxes for a number of people making under $20k / year."

How "poor" do you think the Block family that employed you is?

"I had a friend who worked in retail at Ross (outlet clothing store) in high school and a number of others that did the fast food / retail / pizza delivery job thing."

How poor do you think Stuart Moldaw and Donald Rowlett are?

And Islamo claims to have worked at H&R Block, but didn't know that increases in capital-gains taxes affect literally millions of people who buy and sell homes, people with stock of any amount, including workers who receive stock or stock options from their companies, retirees with investments, and small-business owners.

Ignorant. Completely and totally ignorant.

"Ignorant. Completely and totally ignorant."

Makes you wonder why he's no longer employed there, and why he has a (t)ax to grind with "the rich".

Thank you North Dallas Thirty, that was my point to Islamo, who signed her/his paychecks and their wealth status.
