"We love you, Dan"! It didn't take long for some on the Left to figure out what they want to do about the Washington Post's decision to let go of freelance blog columnist Dan Froomkin. A bigger question might be, what does the Post plan to do with Froomkin's niche, "White House Watch", that promised to watch the WH like a hawk while Bush was in residence?
Will they hire someone from the Right to counter what they did with Froomkin/Bush? Or perhaps they've concluded this isn't a WH in need of watching?
In any event, some on the Left are already selecting targets, others are done with that "rag". Below, six of many comments. No doubt they will all be offering up big bucks in donations so Froomkin can simply start a blog.
Now let's pick some conservative commentators and go after their jobs, and keep after them until they are ruined. I don't care who you pick, just keep calling for them to be boycotted and fired. they are any number we could ruin this way.
I only went to WaPo to mock all the clueless aholes like Broder and Krauthammer and to read the wonder posts of Froomkin...I'm taking it off my bookmark bar, and will never go there again! This is absolutely disgraceful...firing the one person there who had any integrity at all! We love you Dan!
Maybe he's (Krauthammer) one the left could go after. It doesn't matter, just so long as we get some of them fired. Also time to start agitating for the Fairness Doctrine and things like that, and going after Col. Murdoch a lot more vigorously and publicly.
I'm canceling my online subscription now. Froomkin was the only reason left to read the Post. It has deteriorated terribly over the last few years
If a good explanation is not given, I will not read the Washington Post again.
If this is true, then it's the last day I ever read the Washington Post.

Actually he was doing a fantastic job of watching Obama I thought.

Golly, what a pack of free-speech champions.
Go after Krauthammer? What haters! Kind of anti-Jewish, anti-handicapped, and intolerant of diversity, I'd say...!!!!
Not to say just stooooooopid...

Froomkin didn't just criticize conservatives. He didn't turn off his analytical ablility once Obama was elected. It was good to read thoughtful criticism of Obama from the Left.

I wouldn't know -didn't read him. I found him to be one of the worst anti-Bush nuts out there. Much of the crap he wrote was just that. Crap.

I'm in the same boat as you, Dan. I found that his analytical skills were just below those of Michael Moore, but above the average cauliflower.

Now if Time would ditch Joe Klein and other leftist hatemongers while the Post retains its great line-up of first-class columnists---then the "marketplace of ideas" wouldn't be polluted by the likes of Froomkin, Greenwald, & Andy Sullivan, three blind rats who are unreadable---the lies in the first para turn intelligent readers away....

I bet dollars to donuts that the Post found out Froomkin was not only a member of Townhouse™ and JournoList™ but an active MEME maker on the listserv's and the Post could no longer ignore his total ethical lapse.

At what point will the liberal media start admitting in the age of Obama especially that real America doesn't want to read liberal columnists whatsoever? The last thing anyone cares about in this country is leftards attacking The One from the left. Not only will Obama's brownshirts not tolerate it any longer, but the rest of the country is glad to see Froomkin go!
Rachel Maddow, Keith Olbermann, Glenn Greenwald, take notice!
You're next!

Ja! Und so long as the paid journo-rats continue to echo the One True Party's Official Dogma... they can tell the Truth without fear.
But when they part from the Dogma of Zerobama the Great... then so shall they be terminated with swiftness and severity.
