Cole and I are hardly the best of blog friends. heh! But just as he acknowledged some adversaries for their stance on the Obsidian Wings / NRO dust up, he deserves credit for this post on Letterman / Palin.
You know, I have no idea what the hell David Letterman is thinking or what he thinks he is accomplishing with crap like this, but this was inexcusable. He should be ashamed of himself.
Maybe I’m over-reacting, and I know I’m not always perfect, but I’m really losing my patience and tolerance for this kind of stuff. There was no place for this kind of stuff with Hillary and Chelsea, there is no room for it with Michelle and their kids, and the same standard should apply for Sarah Palin and her kids. Hell, it should apply to all women.
IF DAVID LETTERMAN IS STILL WORKING FOR CBS TOMORROW; THE CHANNEL WILL NEVER BE ON MY TV AGAIN!!!

The only thing I watch on that channel is golf. Sarah is a rare beauty, inside and out. I love her character and her personality. I despise liberals. They cower before Islamists who subjugate women and attack conservative women with vicious abandon. Wimps.

I have a question Mr. Riehl. Could you provide a link to me where you objected to the press's or a comedian's harsh treatment of President Clinton's or Vice President Gore's children? I am sure you did, given your outrage here, so I would just like to see it. Thanks.

There is nothing that the left won't do to damage Sarah Palin- pretty much no limits whatsoever.
If Sarah Palin is so silly and irrelevant, why the obsession? Clearly the Left noted her appeal, and are out to eliminate the threat- it’s not like it’s not obvious.
And she’s been highly successful in life while ignoring the left-wing feminist model… this helps to explain the extra dose of venom in the attacks. Of course, the Democrats are plenty afraid of Palin coming-back at them in 2012 with a dynamic and complementary VP like Bobby Jindal… or visa versa.
And they surely have reason to fear her- Palin is the most popular governor in the country… are all those people idiots?
Alaska was a pretty corrupt system until she stepped in. Her reforms took on entrenched politicians (inc. Republicans), a mafioso-style union boss, and Big Oil.
Wouldn’t it have been nice if Obama had been principled and brave enough to confront the corrupt Chicago Democratic Machine?
Or shady political operators like Tony Rezko?
Racist preachers?
Instead of doing business with every last one of them?
Go get em, Sarah- and don’t mind the press, nobody will be listening to them anymore after the pending Obamamania implosion- and once the ties of GE and others with media holdings to the corrupt, Chicago-style Obama administration are fully exposed.

I've heard them savaged as'botoxed', 'hags' and 'whiners' (which is true-they are botoxed, whiny hags) however I've never heard they deserve to be 'hate f**ked' like when Feminist such as Linda Erbe recently applauded the notion that Conservative females deserve rape.
There is nothing more hideous than a woman being scorned by Feminists-the Queen Bee's venom is a real killer.

Moron. No one was blogging last time a Clinton was in the WH. Chelsea was never hammered in Hillary's primary run. The only post I can vaguely recall 5 yrs back was the press noting Gore's son's drug bust. That's hardly over the top, say like suggesting he'd be gang raped in prison by all the Clinton cronies incarcerated way back then.

Jim, Huh? A popular newscaster on your favorite badmouth TV station was suspended for his nasty comments about Chelsea. But generally, I think you missed the point. It is pretty much common knowledge that right wingers have been making nasty comments about Chelsea for years and Riehl or any of you never peeped any protest. Indeed, many of these oft repeated slurs are repeated here in the comments. I pointed this out and Riehl blurts out "moron" and bangs out a kneejerk defensive post that was remarkably lazy and completely without any factual support. This is what I perceive to be right wing blogging and reporting; bang out some accusations or denials, even if easily verified as false, and call it a day.
On the other hand maybe, just maybe you and Riehl indeed do think that nasty comments are fair game on Chelsea Clinton but not on Sarah Palin.
BTW, I tried to explain the joke in another thread but here it goes again. Letterman was making fun of the consensual sex that Sarah Palin allowed her daughter to have. Letterman's joke was referencing the FACT that Sarah Palin is a righteous, abstinence only absolutist, yet let her own underage daughter get pregnant in her - Sarah's - house! The joke is about Sarah and Todd, who are either not very attentive parents or they are hypocrites since they let Bristol's lover live in THEIR house and KNOCK HER UP. Sheesh.
