As a general rule, I'd be hesitant to put much stock in this, but Obama has shown a willingness to continue to reach out to Iran post-election. And the AP put enough stock in their source to include the claim in a recent news item. Hmm.
Speaking about his party's relations with foreign countries, he said Hezbollah was open to talks with representatives of all Western governments except the United States.
"Several US officials at different levels and more or less close to the administration have asked to speak with but we have refused," he said.
"It is useless to have any dialogue with the Americans since they regard us as terrorists," Qassem added. "The Europeans for their part have a role to play, especially as they are taking a different approach from the Americans."

Reaching out?
I thought he was already a member?

good thing saddam is dead, or obama would be apologizing and trying to turn 'his' country back over to him.

Chamberlins legacy is strong in europe I guess. Too bad they dont have any armies left to stop the rising tide aginst them that they dont seem to see. Isnt there an old proverb about a scorpion that explained all this ?

"In his testimony before the Armed Services Committees of the Congress on April 8, 2008, General David Petraeus, the commander of the multinational forces in Iraq, reported that the Iranian Qods Force, with the assistance of Lebanese Hizbullah’s Department 2800, was training, arming and guiding the “Special Groups” in Iraq.[133] Asharq Alawsat reported on August 18, 2008, that Iran denied that Hezbollah operatives were involved in attacks against U.S. and Iraqi forces in four Iraqi provinces."

if you want a seat at obama's table, and are looking for "priority" seating, it seems the best method is to kill US soldiers. Obama will even pick up yor check for 'services rendered'.
