If you think the press is unhappy with Obama's pre-arranged question from Nico Pitney, you may be right. Dana Milbank claims it wasn't the only pre-arranged questioner at the presser and ends his piece on "The Obama Show" with this:
A couple of more questions and Obama called it a day. "Mr. President!" yelled Mike Allen of Politico. "May I ask about Afghanistan? No questions about Iraq or Afghanistan?"
Sorry: Those weren't prearranged.
The other pre-arranged question came from special guest Macarena Vidal, of Spanish-language EFE news agency. Perhaps Obama's ABC health care special will come off better what with the pros from ABC helping out with the staging.
And, as it turned out, he was not the only prearranged questioner at yesterday's show. Later, Obama passed over the usual suspects to call on Macarena Vidal of the Spanish-language EFE news agency. The White House called Vidal in advance to see whether she was coming and arranged for her to sit in a seat usually assigned to a financial trade publication. She asked about Chile and Colombia.

Yeah, pretty bad choice. Funny to hear about Rahm Emmanuel "grinning" at the surprised TV reporters and crews in the front rows. Pretty nervy. As far as plants go, not even that good, considering Obama hardly answered the damn thing.

Did anyone notice how he just slpped down Helen Thomas. He keeps doing that to these guys some of them are going to get pissed and then all hell will break loose. Once the damn starts to break it tends to go pretty fast.
