I'd agree. In this case the misrepresentation was well beyond what any decent blog could get away with. And the linked story didn't support their claims. Not sure if it's sensationalism, or politics though.
I’m all for new media, but new media will get nowhere so long as outfits like the Huffington Post make a mockery of the facts simply because its proprietors think that sensationalism sells.


There's nothing new or unusual about partisan sites distorting facts. The difference between new and old media is how quickly unreliable sites can fade into obscurity and reliable sites can grow.
Even heavily bankrolled partisan hacks with a loyal following of equally partisan hacks as the Huffington Post don't have much influence and will fade away.
