Wait a minute. It's Chrysler's fault for scaling back its dealerships - Chrysler Dealers: 'They Turned Their Back On Us'.
But Obama aides are dictating the advertising budget?
Obama doesn't get a pass on the dealer network. You broke it, you bought it, etc. Obviously they would have had something to say on that aspect of the re-org, as well.
Why give them a pass?

Um... Dan? I don't know if you've been keeping up, but the US Government didn't start buying into the Big 3 auto companies until after they went broke. Kinda late to start assigning passes and fails when the company is already neck deep in red ink.
That said, I'm sure you've got harsh words for Cerberus Capital Management, the previous major stakeholders of Chrysler, since they were running the company back in '07. The Treasury didn't take over until March 30th, 2009.

Obama makes another big announcement...
" All Chryslers will now come standard with floor mats and undercoating."

Closing down dealerships will accelerate the demise of the newspaper business. All those advertisements are going to be gone. They are already losing tons of money due to Craigslist.
