Eric at Red State addresses a problem the Right faces on line. As I stated to him in an email, there is another issue as well. And that's the explosion of seemingly Right-side media consultants who charge big bucks to send a lot of emails around.
I certainly don't mean all of them. But the money being wasted in on line and so-called "new media" consultants today is reminiscent of the dot com bubble some time ago.

I don't get the pol's obsession with the net.
The implications that some would like to make are that the mailings, the sites, et al. will lead to an increase in turnout and fundraising.
The net does neither. The people who are smart enough to get on line, and swim around the poly sci areas are already interested and AFFILIATED with one of the parties. The only significant change in politics that the net has produced, is that it has made it easier for msm journalists to report what they want.

What really is needed is for more grass roots type stuff, and the net does serve to some extent greater than the MSM to publicise this...
but things like the Campaign For Liberty (Ron Paul's post-election lobby group) and the Tea Parties are what are needed to rebuild the conservative movement around its proven principles of non-interventionism and smaller government.
