It would be funny as hell if a group of people from Texas put it on the ballot and it passed. It would be even funnier if after it did we went to all those nations in the UN that hate us and asked them to put forth a resolution in the UN recognizing Texas independence.

It would be funnier than hell watching the left's heads explode.

By the way what would happen if they did do something like that?

"By the way what would happen if they did do something like that?"

The South would rise again. The New Confederate States of America: More and better industries; better educated, better trained, harder working, more faith oriented population. It would be the fulfillment of the Founding Father's fondest dreams.

Would all the blacks migrate back south?

Actually, a lot might. The South has changed a lot. Pretty much gone is the post Civil War racism. I honestly don't know...good question, however. I would hope so as I believe they have made some real contributions to American culture, as have other racial and ethnic groups.

This really is to good an idea to just let go. I mean the shear fun of tweeking the left's noses would be just great. People on the left are all for the UN I wonder how they would react to it.

Go right ahead Rick, you America-hating Governor you! Just promise to keep Bush there with you.

Don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out...

Oh, and pretty please, can you convince the Confederate States to join you...

“I mean the shear fun of tweeking the left's noses would be just great.”

You may be on to something, southdakotaboy. From the looks of how panicky they have gotten over the ‘tea parties’ just imagine someone starting a campaign to resurrect the Confederate States. That would spark an accusation of racism that would guarantee coverage as a spirited debate would spring up about whether the “new” CSA was or was not. All sorts of things would be out on the table. ;-)
