Fox takes a look at how our government generates the bogus "90% of guns in Mexico come from the US" statistic they've been touting in the media. Only a small portion of the guns seized are traceable. Yes, 90% of those may trace back to the US, but the vast majority of non-trace-able weapons have markings indicating they don't come from America at all. But in our government's eyes, somehow they just don't count.
There's just one problem with the 90 percent "statistic" and it's a big one:
It's just not true.
In fact, it's not even close. By all accounts, it's probably around 17 percent.
What's true, an ATF spokeswoman told FOXNews.com, in a clarification of the statistic used by her own agency's assistant director, "is that over 90 percent of the traced firearms originate from the U.S."
But a large percentage of the guns recovered in Mexico do not get sent back to the U.S. for tracing, because it is obvious from their markings that they do not come from the U.S.

Damn, that guy that sold me the grenade launcher at the gun show was lying when he said it was made in America?
Next you're going to tell me that Barry isn't really giving "tax cuts to 95% of Americans"!
As a good sheep I refuse to believe that because Xerxes and his minions told me so and they would never lie (well except on their tax forms)!

the maker of the weapons used by the mexican army is largely h&k, a german company.
if the mexican army is on the take, would a drug lord want to smuggle individual guns at a higher cost across the border, or simply use what is readily available in country in large volume and acquired for pesos?
If I were going to arm a drug cartel and had to do so in a cost effective manner, I'd be using ak47s or a modified sks.
Hillary should get some pics of mexican drug dealers, complete with AR15(or M16's).
If they were out there, one would think they would be getting non-stop play from cnn and msnbc.
