FreedomWorks Sets March On DC For 9-12

Update: Okay, AFP is planning a demonstration for Oct 2. What if the people decide they want to do something on July 4th?

First, on October 2nd in Washington, D.C. Americans for Prosperity will be hosting the National Taxpayer Tea Party at the Capitol. Why October 2nd? That’s when we expect the final debates to be occurring over the massive Obama budget.

Hmm. The day after 9/11 and, if I'm not mistaken, also suggestive of Glenn Beck's effort.

FreedomWorks is inviting everyone to join us on Saturday, 9-12-2009 to protest at the U.S. Capitol Building. We will be rolling out a new site (the link isn’t active yet) to promote this event later this week. Until then, enjoy the tea parties on Wednesday, and thank you for everything you are doing for liberty in America.

I don't know, isn't it kind of ironic for an organization called "FreedomWorks" to plan a protest the day after the event that many Republicans used as an excuse to curtail individual liberties and privacy rights? Pot, meet Kettle.
