Rick at Brutally Honest says he can't figure out Obama's end game in attacking Limbaugh.
There is no end game relative to attacking Rush. Obama's end game is legislative victory over the Republicans. Limbaugh is a distraction and thanks in part to Steele it became a larger one for now.
Obama's eye is on the ball and the ball's in play on Capitol Hill, not AM radio.

"Editorial: Cap-and-trade plan will sink Michigan"
detroit news.
hmmm...
will the press ask gibbs about this?
what if gibbs just offers the santelli/cramer/limbaugh defense?
"I would encourage [the detroit news] to read the president’s plan."
(the santelli response)
"if you [read a certain paper] it's geared to a very small audience -- no offense to my good friends or friend at [detroit news]," Gibbs said, "but the President has to look out for the broader economy and for the broader population."
(the cramer response)
NB:Cramer has an audience of 300-400k. Detroit News circulation: 200k.

Wrong. Read Drudge's headline article. This is a Clinton like attack by the same old Clintonistas.
Coordinated by Rahm, Carville, Begala, etc (remember them?)and thru the White house press guy.
They know exactly what they're doing, influencing Republican votes on the Hill.

This is slightly off topic but caught a Gibbs press conference cause CNBC sowed part of it. My only comment was that I had to take the conference off. The journalists were asking good and serious questions and he was giggling and cracking jokes. It seemed an odd reaction to so many very serious focused people. (OK, here's my chance, you know I prefer women press secretaries, they always maintain the professional, ok plug over lol)

The list of criticizers is growing and probably you will soon be able to add Kudlow. Yes I know he was one of the conservatives who had dinner with the prez early on, but, on his program last night he was pretty angry and pretty vocal with his criticism. Probably they will all calm down today cause of the housing information.

the same rahm, carville, begala that engineered the gop return to power in 94?
92-the gop incumbent gets 37% of the popular vote.
94?
54 dem seats lost in the house, 8 seats lost in senate.
adding insult to injury, two dem senators defect to join the gop.
The wh strategy in 94?
stop limbaugh from dismantling the dems over national healthcare by trashing him.
please barry, keep going after limbaugh-harder and faster. ignore the poor historic performance of begala/carville/emmanuel's plan.

Hmm, I don't see how Obama needs any help to get his legislative agenda through Congress; he certainly doesn't need the Republicans unless you count Snowe, Collins, and Specter.
Limbaugh's eye is on 2010 'cause that's about all he can influence and I say he's getting a jump on the Dems in that regard. If enough Bleu dog dems get the yips over re-election and waiver on current legislation, so much the better.

The focus on Rush is simple.
With Bush gone they need their Conservative/Republican fall guy and Rush is it!
The other thing going on is an attempt to "bait and switch" the American people by steering the dialouge away from Barry's socialist agenda. This massive smoke screen is intended to fire up the base and demonize the Republicans as little Rush zombies!
How many times have the trolls visited here and claimed that conservatives all listen daily to Rush and go out and do his bidding. I haven't listened to Rush for 5 minutes in my life and he got his start on radio right here in Sacramento!
I am a conservative that votes Republican, not a Republican that votes conservative! Rush doesn't lead me, Rush doesn't own me and despite the moonbats attempts to convince the sheep otherwise, he has no control over my views!
The fact that this effort is centered in the white house by the same Democratic Chicago hacks is proof that for Xerxes it's about controlling the debate. The Democrats are attempting to creat a ONE party system with no dissent.
What separates them from the Nazi's? They already have all of the cute signs and posters!
