Crisis, crisis, everything is a crisis now..
Really, a functioning capitalist system is not a crisis. Companies fail, it is normal ebb and flow of business.
It is becoming apparent that the strategy is to have crisis after crisis leading to increased government control at every level.. From banks to insurance companies to any company now deemed "a danger to the economy" which can be taken over by the treasury. Define "danger to the economy"? All companies are a potential danger to the economy in a capitalist system.
Bad companies fail. That is what is supposed to happen. Their investors lose, their creditors lose, and private citizens get to pick apart the corpse at sale prices.
Everyone seems to think this teleprompter stuff shows Obama as confused. I think it is an act, he knows exactly what he is doing. He is distracting everyone away from the goings on behind the scenes where there is a power grab to control most everything about your life. Potentially up to how many children you should have to save the planet from your families "carbon footprint"., How much energy credits you should be allotted, and if your life is worth the cost to the state when you are old and need medical care...

Everytime they take away the crutch it's a hoot!

Watching him without a teleprompter is living proof that our country is being run by a fool!

He was simply incapable of giving a straight answer to a question without resorting to his scripted talking points!

He does know that he won the election and the campaign is over right? He just stands there and acts like a punk!

Does this man posees an ounce of common sense or does he really buy his own hype?

The 2010 election is going to be a carbon copy of 1994.

The Democrats can't be this stupid again, can they?

The old joke still applies.

The loving wife came home early, and was shocked to find her husband in bed with his secretary. He jumped up and wrapped a towel around himself. He said, "Honey, are you going to believe my explanation, or your lying eyes?"

People just don't want to believe that Obama is doing this. They see the policies, recommendations, faulty reasoning, and bad results. The economy is falling apart because Obama is unrestrained by consequences, and so he is unpredictable. Worse, the parts that are predictable are awful. He is a bundle of promises unconnected to any plausable means of delivering those promises.

Why isn't he called a liar in public and subjected to outright ridicule?

Leading The People
http://easyopinions.blogspot.com/2008/08/leading-people.html

----- excerpt -----
They have a solution that will work if we would only stop arguing and agree with them.
They may need to omit some information about the new arrangements and what these will cost. They observe that ordinary people do not think well enough to make decisions in their own long-term best interest.

Dissenters are either uninformed or selfish.
There is no need to argue about the specific meanings of words. The good of the society justifies telling some lies, if it comes to that.

The solution requires that we all pitch in and not be greedy. The people with the most resources will put their extra income or property into the pot.

They will modify or replace the solution if it doesn't work. They will design a new solution the same way they designed the first solution, through thought, research, and discussion among themselves. Further solutions may require more resources.

It really does seem as though he's intent on running a permanent campaign. What's interesting is that his supporters have adopted the same mode. Whenever he's criticized online, the only rebuttal that have to offer is that he's not Bush, Bush is a bad man, it's all Bush's fault yada yada yada. They don't seem to have any idea of what he's really up to either.

Maybe someone can tell me "why" this is not in the news "yet"
I watched the whole thing. Almost 2 hours. It is quite interesting although I have read a lot on the bilderburg group over the years.
It just makes you think a lot about all going on in the world today.

And these two... Remember they went missing for two days at the same time the meeting was taking place. Watch the movie !!
HILLARY CLINTON (secret meeting)?
BARACK OBAMA (secret meeting)?

I watched it. Nothing new, really. Although he makes some valid points about Obama, Alex Jones is merely a conspiracy theorist. Most of the movie is a re-hash from the last big "world government" hysteria flap during the Clinton Administration.

I don't know exactly what his plan was last night, but seeing as how Geithner just killed the dollar through a poorly thought out remark I think it's safe to assume that this is going to be another bad week for him.

.......Get me Jerry Garcia........NOW.

short version of obama?

'we inherited a substantial debt, and I will do nothing to reduce the debt over the next ten years. Instead I will use the last year of bush's deficit as the baseline for all foreseeable future budgets. Worried about 2013 debt? blame bush for the 2008 budget, for setting the bar so low for me to take advantage of you.'

Obama was a snooze fest, at least I don't fall asleep during American Idol. While Rome burns, I need my escape.

current us debt is 11 trillion.
obama's very own projected debt accumulation is the rosy 9.2 trillion.

at the end of his admin(if two terms), we will have social policies that we cannot afford, in addition to 20 trillion in debt. This ignore the social security/medicare hole which will be slapping 50 trillion of debt by 2050.

china won't buy any more treauries, becuase we simulataneously are devaluing the dollar.

how does an admin seriously offer to produce a new social agenda that we a)cannot afford and b)cannot find anyone willing to subsidize our debt?

we are at a point where, even if we were all willing as a country, to accept all this new spending we still would be incapable of doing so. Obama's plan? pursue the impossible in a time where the country needs serious leaders.

almost like a lottery, where the only tickets that can be bought have already expired becuase they were losers.

Jeff I am not a conspiracy theorist at all, but most all of what is said is true.
And, why does the Bilderburg Group meet in secret every year ? And, why do all these high ranking folks from the USA always attend ?
What is really suspicious is Timmothy Geithner and a lot of Obama's in his cabonet attended this meeting.
It does make you think and wonder about all this BS.

WBPE, as I said, all this "world government" stuff was at the fore of the big militia movement back in the mid-90's - the Bilderburg Group, Trilateral Commission, CFR, FEMA detention camps, etc. etc. Yeah, it makes you wonder, but it's nothing new, and it's no more believable now than it was then. Alex Jones also thinks that 9/11 was a government conspiracy. That says quite a bit about his credibility, IMHO.

Jeff, that was the only thing that I did not connect with the film. There was a glimpse of the plane flying into the one of the buildings and I did not see what that had to do with anything. Everything else was actually pretty much true.
I know that conspiracy theorists do not get much attention but maybe we should all JUST THINK ABOUT IT as we watch it.
There is something going on in our government and around the world and it has been for years. It is more than meets the eye. People need to put a stop to it NOW.
If it takes a film like this whether it ALL be true or not maybe it will wake people up somewhat.
If we all sit back and watch all the BS happen then we will all deserve what we get.
Obama and his crew need to be stopped.
What is going on right now is not a laughing matter.
It is disgusting and shameful.
The tea party thing is about all that is going on right now to fight back. Any other suggestions ?
