I hope Maguire's use of the word "train" here carries no hidden sexual intent. There are people watching for such things, obviously. Maybe Dreher was over tired having saved conservatism from Rush Limbaugh just last week?

Rod Dreher initiates a train wreck with this post that is a little bit about a ghastly home invasion and murder in a small Texas town and more about a comment made by one of the victims.

Yes, but did you read the entire news item, Jana? Sadly the kid is out to lunch, even described as evil by many. She isn't really a reliable source if you ask me.

'train wreck' is a common phrase these days used in this context to mean their life is a mess. There is no sexual intent associated with it. If the author had said "pull a train"- that is a gang rape and would be castigated.
