I hope some people, even some of those angered by the AIG bonuses, realize this is ultimately a war against capitalism for the government's benefit, folks. And between firing up his campaign apparatus, his possible end run of Republicans by using the budget process for legislation to his media strategy, - see below, Obama does not intend to fight fair.
The answers don’t have to be partisan, and I welcome and encourage proposals and improvements from both Democrats and Republicans in the coming days.
Obama in practice on the budget: "You cannot post responses to this video."
no YouTube responses, no comments on the White House “blog”, and no Twitter.
Looks like anti-social media to me. Maybe he should sign up for the Journo-List if he isn't already on it.

Uncle George won't allow dissent! He bought and paid for the office and he is not about to allow for his control over the federal government to be questioned!
We must trigger the sleeper cells to activate! E-mail the socialist youth core and the minions to arms!
There must be no questioning of "the One"!
This guy proves everyday that he is the most powerful, slimy and sneakiest bastard in the world!
Literally!

Actually, Obama and the liberal dems must love this dust up over AIG given their scorn regarding capitalism. What better way to get uninformed voters ready for the need for more government takeovers because capitalism and business is corrupt and greedy. This is a manufactured crisis. Sure those bonues annoy me but not near as much the terrible spending and government take overs and involvement in our lives cause me to cringe.,

Can we get a mulligan on Nov 4th 2008?

I don't think McCain would have done that much better.
I'd prefer a mulligan - or a series of them - on Super Tuesday that would have seen Ron Paul get the GOP nomination.
And if wishes were horses, beggars would ride them.
