In his campaign rhetoric Obama occasionally credited the concept of the American Dream for his rise. The most traditional definition of the American Dream is to aspire above and beyond a level those who came before you did. That mostly took the form of wealth accumulation, property ownership, education and so on.
Welcome to the world, Jada -- you owe $22,000.
And it's not gonna get better.
That figure -- about the price of a new Camaro -- represents the share of the public debt carried by anybody born in the United States today, according to the fiscal watchdog group The Concord Coalition.
Take Jada Grace Larsen. She was born Sunday at New Jersey's Hackensack Medical Center.
It will be characterized as outlandish to even suggest it, but the fact is, Obama's budgeting and policies will transform, if not actually kill the traditional concept of the American Dream. These are facts, not political charges.
If Obama succeeds, the only practical dream for future Americans will be to become the best collectivist, not successful individual, you can be. History has shown that without that motivation people tend to not aspire to very much at all.
Given the course he seems to be charting, the color of America's future will not be Red, White and Blue, nor the least bit Green. It can only be the dull and murky gray of a people who don't dream about much of anything at all.

Very nice piece of writing Dan.
Fade to gray........

Remember when George Bush was orchestrating a two-front land war in Asia while passing back-to-back trillion dollar tax cuts on top income earners and capital gainers? Remember how we went from a $40 billion surplus to a $500 billion deficit inside two years? And took a $5 trillion debt to $10 trillion by the end of Bush's second term?
Dan sure doesn't.

I want to be the best comrade I can be for the great Xerxes!
His wisdom is not to be questioned and we are soooo lucky to have him!
We will let you know when you are to show up to hand your children over for their mandatory Hitler youth training!
In the meantime carry on, nothing to see here, move along now!
Be good little sheeple and do as our leader says!

The funny part is that IslamoLlama is screaming about both while it supports Obama going from a $500 billion deficit to one three times that much in less than one year.
And notice how IslamoLlama screams about tax cuts on working people, but fully supports those like Obama, Rangel, Geithner, Solis, Daschle, Stark, and others who don't pay their taxes at all.
What that makes obvious is that IslamoLlama is a hypocrite who attacks Bush for what it fully supports and endorses its own Obama Party and Obama himself for doing.

Hey Dallas don't you know that Bush is responsible for ALL of the world's ills for Lame-O and his troll buddies.
Xerxes is not to be questioned. He "inherited" this whole mess and according to his minions a crisis is a terrible thing to waste. But hey he has his "Tax cuts for 95% of Americans" talking point to hang his hat on! Sorry about that $13 not helping with the new massive increase in your Cap and Trade energy costs coming up. But don't worry that won't hit for another year and you'll all be fine. We need to "invest" (sorry that's "tax the crap out of you") for normal folks in Xerxes' socialist conversion. I can hardly wait for my 13 year old to be indoctrinated into his Hitler Youth Corp (Over my dead body there "god king").
But he was a member of a Demo controlled congress the past two years wasn't he. Granted he never introduced a single meaningful piece of legislation in his short stay. Just voting for failure in Iraq with the rest of the Demo losers.
This boy has really shown himself to be a complete asshat!
Isn't congress the folks that actually pass the budget they all claim they had nothing to do with?
Frank, Pelosi, Reed, Biden, Dumbo, Rambo, Turbo Tim!
Great leaders in a time of turmoil, we'll all be just fine
Have you seen Turbo Tax Tim's new 2009 1040 form:
"How much did you make? Send it in!"
