h/t Ace's blog -- I realize this might sound terribly inconvenient, Meghan. But have you considered going out into the real world and accomplishing something besides graduating college before convincing yourself that any one outside your family gives a damn what you think? We don't really value the whole Kennedy-kid thing over here on the Right. As Daddy isn't going to need a campaign prop for at least two years, surely there's something productive you could do in the mean time.
Meghan McCain is originally from Phoenix, Arizona. She graduated from Columbia University in 2007.

#1 - She writes at The Daily Beast? I was subscribed to that POS for about a day until they PO'ed me so badly I just unlisted myself.
Here is what I have to say to Ms. McCain:
'Daddy is NOT a conservative. Get over it.'
AND (channeling the Church Lady):
'Isn't THAT special?'
Go get a job in the real world kiddie.

Meghan McCain: poster girl for almost everything that's wrong with the Republican party.

This young person is a twit. And a embarrassment to women.

Since she is taking on Coulter, I really hope that Meghan went to the real Columbia and not some sub-campus.

This is an interesting response. Instead of constructing an argument to explain just how wrong young Ms. McCain is, you childishly insult her. That you can't even rebut a 23 year old college graduate speaks volumes about who you are and where your party is going.

Did anyone read her article before it was posted? She can't be serious. Ann Coulter has been making serious conservative arguments for years while little Ms McCain was playing with dolls. Anyone paying attention to the things her father has said and done (McCain-Feingold anyone?) could make an argument that the 2008 Hillary Clinton was more conservative.
And just what are those ideals that draw Ms McCain to the GOP? If anything, they are the ideals I've heard Ann Coulter espouse for years - less government and respect for life. Ms McCain would make the GOP Dems light. A party of Arlen Spectors - woo-hoo!!
What Republicans don't need is taking advice from someone that can't figure out what a total disaster John Kerry would have been compared to GWB.

6 new york times best sellers.
vs.?
nothing.
I won't even bother reading her article...
if she actually does succeed in making a coherent argument, it will be that much more frustrating to think of her dad, who was incapable of doing the same.
I won't hold my breath.
ann coulter has the good fortune of being born to see conservatism, born in 61.
19 years old in college the year reagan is elected.
meghan was born in 1984.
She was 10 years old in 94, which is when the last real conservative movement happened.

I'm sorry guys (and specifically Bill & Mantis), but she lost me at "Hip, Hipper, Hippest & Hipness".
Obama:
- Signs the Great Generational Theft Act,
- Creates a permanent Socialized-Medicine system into that same "Temporary-Stimulus-Bill",
- Follows up with non-specifics on an over-bloated-and-deficit-growing budget,
- Grovels to Muslim countries on Arab TV,
- Pledges $900MM to 're-build Gaza' and increase P.A.-budget aid to $130MM,
- Makes what can only be overt gestures intended to alienate Great Britain
- Has been effective ONLY in ensuring that the economic readjustment/recovery ISN'T coming anytime soon
....and her take is:
"President Obama has successfully established himself as the hippest politician around."
If that's the extent of her understanding, it's no wonder she thinks Coulter is too harsh - being "Hip" apparently means not paying attention to pesky little things like "details".

I wouldn't want either one speaking for me, they are both media whores.

Here is part of her post, it speaks for itself
"I’m often criticized for not being a “real” Republican, and I have been called a RINO—Republican In Name Only—in the past. Many say I am not “conservative enough,” which is something that I am proud of. It is no secret that I disagree with many of the old-school Republican ways of thinking. One of the biggest issues from which I seem to drift from the party base is in my support of gay marriage. I am often criticized for previously voting for John Kerry and my support of stem-cell research."
Like her father this little RINO has no clue about what REAL conservatives think.
Scary to think brainless dolts like this are our future!

Brainless dolts and our naive youth are the reason the Messiah was elected!

She's very young, cut her some slack. Her problem is perspective. Being in the GOP has never been hip. What gets someone in the GOP is ideas. People who only care about being hip are Democrats. She might be considered a RINO because she voted for John Kerry. In the grand scheme of things, no one cares she supports gay marriage. Lots of people support stem cell research. As a Republican you should support a smaller federal government. Support a lot less spending. Less involvement in our daily lives. Strong, healthy military. Lower taxes. Support for Israel. Support the constitution. Non activist judges. Support core values and everything else is negotiable. The Republican party isn't defined as one that opposes gay marriage. That's a peripheral subject at best.

Megan just needs to date some of her progressive friends and she might learn why the right side is, well, right. She needs to get a vocabulary too, the valley girl talk is offensive, is hipness a word? I bet reading Ann Coulter could help her with her 5th grade writing skills.

Gee, Dan, take a chill pill. If the right side of the aisle is characterized by reasoned discourse, posting an elaborate ad hominem attack isn't exactly proof of that. Would her arguments be any more persuasive if she was a CEO of a Fortune 500 company? If not, your whole post is meaningless.
