In essence, the temple of Obama loathed the money changers so much they didn't want their help, or advice - until things started to crash. But advice and cooperation came with consideration for both their views and interests. I thought politicians did that every day, no? Perhaps, but it isn't done by gods sent down from the mountains of Denver to save us. Or is it?
How upset are they? Yeah ... Ezra Klein goes there and he isn't alone. I can only assume Klein mis-spat an "it's" in there somewhere.
"Not to sound naive about this, but the absence of patriotism that galls. The lack of responsibility is sickening. These bankers delivered an almost mortal wound to the American economy. Their actions threw millions out of work and wrecked the retirement savings of tens of millions more. It is no exaggeration to say that they will cost us more than 9/11.
