Andrew Sullivan doesn't sound as high on Obama as he once did.
The chuckle suggests a man of his generation. The dismissiveness toward the question of ending Prohibition as both a good in itself and a form of tax revenue is, however, depressing. His answer was a non-answer. I'm tired of having the Prohibition issue treated as if it's trivial or a joke. It is neither. It is about freedom and it's deadly serious. As for your online audience, Mr president, have you forgotten who got you elected?

The Conservatism of Doubt.Such as doubting whether the statist you have a man crush on might not be the wise and pragmatic leader you imagined. But at least he doesn't endorse TORTURE!

He hasn't. He's taking exactly the tack an amoral narcissist would when he knows that he's got an audience of people who will worship him and do whatever he says because of his skin color, and who are too proud to admit that they were outfoxed.
Sullivan has proven he's an idiot. Obama is merely treating him like one, secure in the knowledge that Sullivan would never under any circumstances admit that his two-year man-crush and unhinged savaging of Sarah Palin were just flat-out wrong.

Oh, I think Sully will dump his mancrush completely once O is forced to make a decision impacting gay marriage.
