So why might Huckabee make it a point to take down Steele?
Assuming Dawson remains out due to his particular issues that would make him a less than ideal replacement, you have Chip Saltsman who was Huckabee's guy all along. And even Blackwell would work to Huckabee's favor.
Or you could simply assume he's doing it based upon principle. That's not something I'm prepared to do after watching him in the primaries.

There is never ever been a perfect leader in anything. I think Michael Steele deserves a chance.
I do not believe in abortions as I think the women should give it up for adoption if they do not want the baby as there are so many that can't have children.
I also think that these women that continue to have abortions should be held accountable for their actions and be made to attend a class before having one. Maybe that would change their mind. I don't know. I just think it is wrong that the taxpayer has to pay for this kind of behavior when you have birth control and many other means of protection. And..if the guy that is responsible for the pregnancy presses the person into having one then they are just as crappy as the women. It is selfish and disgusting.

I want to thank Michael Steele for one thing.
For years I have tried to to explain to fellow conservatives that while Democrats are certainly our enemies, Republicans are certainly not our friends. That in fact they are really just different sides of the same coin.
But these people were loyal to a fault. And I mean a fault. As they buried their heads in the sand while a Republican Congress went on a spending spree much higher then the Democratic controlled Congress defeated in the 1994 elections. A few were waking up with Bush's socialist bailout but still lots of them turned the other way refusing to admit the truth.
But with Michael Steele calling Republicans Nazis I think most people now got it. I lost lots of friends over the years because of my disagreements with the Repugicrats. But recently lots of people who haven't spoken to me in years have come up to me and said, I am sorry, you were indeed correct about them (the GOP). It was Steele calling Republicans Nazis that did it.
So, thank you Michael. Thank you for waking people up about the GOP.
