I read Patterico almost daily. Sometimes I think he makes sense, sometimes I don't. This is one of the times I wonder what he's smoking. His Rush tirade is absurd nonsense that starts with a false premise and doesn't improve with time.

In fact, his own update revealing that he forgot to distinguish between the Republican party and Conservatives shows just how little thought he has put into his position. Too bad he's chosen to defend it in a way that has left him no graceful exit so that he feels compelled to continue defending it.

I didn't appreciate the gratuitous dig at Americans either. ("I understand what Rush is doing, but the American people are far too stupid for such nuance.") On this one, Patterico can get bent.

Being careful of what you say doesn't mean a thing. If they can't twist what you say then they resort to saying that the right uses "code words."

Democrats bash Limbaugh because he said -

"Before it's all over, it'll be called the Ted Kennedy Memorial Health Care bill," Limbaugh said.

Imagine if he said they were going to name a bridge after him.

What's the big news, back in January an aide to Bingamin (sp) D-NM said the same thing, that the health care reform bill would be named after Kennedy. Looks to be another manufactured outrage....
