Msgr. Monroy took Mrs. Clinton to the famous image of Our Lady of Guadalupe, which had been previously lowered from its usual altar for the occasion.
After observing it for a while, Mrs. Clinton asked “who painted it?” to which Msgr. Monroy responded “God!”
Leaving the basilica half an hour later, Mrs. Clinton told some of the Mexicans gathered outside to greet her, “you have a marvelous virgin!”
Unconfirmed reports suggest the Msgr replied, Yeah, I heard your husband has had a few, as well! Link

Although I am a Catholic I was not familiar with Our Lady of Guadaloupe and how the painting came to be. Mrs. Clinton made a very big gaffe. This administration is acting like complete novices, they need some adults to guide them.

So, thousands of people waited 5 hours in the rain to buy Mark Levin's latest book. Something is in the air.

I saw that to. For to long the right in this country has sat passively while the left has run rough shod over us. I for one am no longer just going to let that slide and I think neither are many other people.

Wow, that is some gaffe!
Looking at, you know, an actual painting and asking who painted it.

That was one tactful response from the Monsignor.
And yes, it is quite a beautiful virgin.

Skylark,
You are a very ignorant person. You must be a liberal.

What I find unusual is that the visit was not part of her original itinerary. Apparently, she made a last minute decision to go there. Here is a link to a video of Hillary's visit: http://tinyurl.com/dk2fxs This is an amazing video about the studying of the image but it is in Spanish. You can still figure out what is going on though: http://tinyurl.com/daw7tj This link talks about the significance of the tilma: http://tinyurl.com/ddstfc http://tinyurl.com/cq56ve Our Lady of Guadalupe, according to the information at the link, is a huge deal to Mexico and even California. "The Anchoress" website draws a very interesting parallel to BO's being asked to speak at Notre Dame and this incident with Hillary. "Nicedeb" apaprently found out that Hillary is due to receive the Margaret Sanger award. What an interesting juxtaposition. Lastly, there are two very long threads at the Ace of Spades HQ blog and at Hot Air. I think that all these coincidences are not coincidences at all.

That video is hilarious. The monsignor actually grabbed the translator's top and unwrapped it to demonstrate. Points to Hillary and the translator for maintaining their composure.
