Obviously they have their own agenda being based in Detroit. Still, the Freep's savaging of team Obama and even Rahm himself is worth the read. Should we start calling Rahm "The Little One"?
Maybe they didn't get the memo? Obama's tired and either has yet to figure out what being a president is, or if he even wants the job. To be fair, it is his first real one, after all.
Sorry to be abrupt with you, exalted members of President Barack Obama's auto task force, but there's no time for small talk.
That's because the big shots are afraid of you, afraid to seem too pushy or too defensive. That's why Detroit's automakers sit meekly and quietly by, refusing to rebut even obvious nonsense such as that spouted by White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel on "Face the Nation" a week ago, when he said GM and Chrysler "never invested in alternative-energy cars."
You people need to act quickly -- like yesterday, if not sooner -- to put forward a clear-cut plan for saving what's left of a domestic automobile industry that's on the edge of complete collapse.
Just get on with it, so all the suppliers, dealers, engineers, welders, bondholders and accountants whose fates are at stake can plan accordingly.
Maybe the Freep needs to lighten up and attend a party. Three Right-side bloggers did have a Tea Party in East Lansing. Here's a link to join the Tax Day Tea Party in Michigan.
