Without the gun, of course.
President Barack Obama Punches Osama Bin Laden And Carries Gun In Comic Books
Considering that President Obama is widely regarded as being anti-gun, it’s surprising to see him packing heat in a comic book. Maybe it’s ok, because it appears to be a souped-up laser gun as opposed to a real gun like people in small town America cling to.

russian strategic bombers in cuba...
for an admin that has fumbled away its economic crediblity, I'm not inspired by their potential for success with the Cuban Bomber Crisis.
Florida is going to regret their voting for obama, quickly. The rest of the vulnerable states are all red.
Nice to know that DC will be less than two hours away if Russia goes kamikaze. A little more than an hour away from launch to impact, if the missile is anyhting faster than the plane.
hmmm...
easing sanctions with cuba simultaneous to the Russians planting bombers.
giving up on missile defense in the Ukraine.
hillary, the lone hawk, has her plate full.
end result?
the bombers stay. Obama fears standing up for this country, more than the possiblity of being struck by Russian bombers. Putin will keep rubbing barry's (and the US') face in the dirt, worse than kohmeni and ahmadinejad did in the 70's.

florida?
a bomber that is already in the air can probably punch a button and have a nuke in Miami in less than 10 minutes.
I'd like to express shock at the slow pace obama will respond to this, but it is to be expected.
A real president would be on the air, within the next 10 hours to state our course of action.
The dems will have to organize focus groups to poll, process the results, consult with ranking members of the democrat monopoly, get in touch with the president, rearrange his schedule, etc...
No statement til late monday, unless Gibb's is going to be spokesperson for our military too, in the am.

Okay, don't get hysterical. Russia isn't going to bomb the United States, they are doing this as a symbolic gesture to push us around, there isn't any threat of invasion....or bombing.
This is a test to see how Obama reacts and to see whether Russia is going to see a green light to extend her power around the world and start encroaching on places where she hasn't been encroaching or trying to encroach for almost 20 years.
Obama I believe will fail this test and the Russians will take this opportunity to grab whatever they can grab, because unlike us, they don't care how poor their people are or whether they have health care or education or toys for Christmas. This will result in more loss of power and prestige, and however much I hated Bush and thought he was a punk, the Russians would NEVER have done this on his watch. Not in a million years.
But, please don't put this in terms of that the Russians are Coming, OMG they're going to take over Florida, because that is just silly.

"Okay, don't get hysterical."
I'm not worried, barry wouldn't hurt an (endangered) fly. Their fighters, support planes creep into US territory, and the Air Force will be told to stand down, for any circumstances. The Russians will keep creeping further in, and the obama 'commitment to peace' will become our defense policy.
flyovers of migs across florida will become common place.
as earlier stated-
"Putin will keep rubbing barry's (and the US') face in the dirt, worse than kohmeni and ahmadinejad did in the 70's."
no schaden freude to be found. barry's humiliation is our humiliation.

The Russians are simply making noise to off-set our Euro misslie defense (already DOA under Obama) and to distract from near financial ruin at home. Their real play will be in Europe - say goodbye to Georgia and the Ukraine within the year.

See, I think that is silly, migs flying over Florida, that wouldn't serve any Russian purpose, since they do not want to take over the United States.
I agree that Putin will keep rubbing our nose in it and we might start to see Russian money flowing to places like Syria and Lebanon in sizes that haven't been seen in a long while and we might start seeing a la Venezuela the Russians working to squeeze us out of South America and I suspect we WILL see a lot of squeezing of the former Eastern Bloc countries, not so much Eastern Europe, but all the 'stans' that have nominal independence.
I agree that Obama isn't going to know what to do and that whatever he does, it will be all talk.
I just don't agree w/overstating the case as if this is some kind of a precurser to the Russians bombing Washington or FLorida since they already could bomb Washington or Florida if they wanted to, assuming their ICBMs still work.
I knew sending that stupid letter to the Russians would be seen as a huge sign of stupidity, naivety and weakness.
Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be thinking "Hillary Clinton will be the voice of reason here"
If it wasn't my country I would think this was funny.
Alo, notice how little play this is getting in the media? Same as how little play the renewed violence in Iraq is getting?
But, I have to say that unfortunately Russia and China have ALWAYS been the real threats to our country's hegmony and power, it was never Bin Laden, Al Quada or Iraq, or the continued existance of Israel. Always, always always was Russian and China.
However, given how Obama is idiotically trying to push the Europeans into bankrupting their countries in the Keynesian quest for stimulation, maybe Germany will grow a backbone again, who knows.

"a bomber that is already in the air can probably punch a button and have a nuke in Miami in less than 10 minutes."
You say this like its a bad thing...

"See, I think that is silly, migs flying over Florida, that wouldn't serve any Russian purpose, since they do not want to take over the United States."
If they know they can do it, they'll do it.
I agree that the threat of a mig is insignificant.
The flight wouldn't be without porpose...
it would demonstrate to the world our unwillingness to engage in a conflict to protect our own borders, signalling the rest of the world that they are on their own.
The EU walked away from the eastern bloc countries financially, and we are walking away from the eastern bloc countries, militarily. Walking up to the US border and taunting the 'once, a superpower' holds global significance.
Any war that putin would chose to engage in, outside of the EU and the US territory is fair game. Mexico is already destabliized and drawing our attention. We are ceding the rest of the world to anyone who wants to back a 'strongman'.
The world wasn't quite as dangerous under bush, as it is about to get.
Wish I could chalk it up to bad luck, but it is just bad policy.

"--- maybe Germany will grow a backbone again, who knows. ---"
Don't count on it... and even if there was the remotest chance that they might...
... you really wouldn't want them thinking that way.
As for the Russkies... their goal is to intimidate us into not acting when they finally go after their true go: the destruction of Israel per Ezekiel 38 - when God Himself intervenes and destroys the Red Army to every man and horse (materiel, support, logistics) in their advance upon Jerusalem.
